Kimberly Jones (aka Lil' Kim) issued the following statement today prior to reporting to prison:

'I have unfortunately been assigned to a federal detention center instead of a prison camp as discussed, in the City of Philadelphia. I am not certain that this constitutes fair & equal treatment.'

'However, today begins a new saga in my life which I expect to strengthen me and allow me time for reflection. I am blessed to have so many great things in my life - family, friends, and God. All will be in my thoughts daily. I plan to write music while in prison, read and pray regularly and will come out a stronger, more confident woman.'

'I will write many of my fans, and expect the 'Lil Kim' brand to be even bigger when I come out - I am just getting started in my career. My fourth solo album, THE NAKED TRUTH comes out next week on September 27th, and I have much more planned. Thanks to all for their thoughts and prayers...and I will see you soon.'

I wish my homegurl lots of luck "Up North"! I'm buying her new CD!!

so you mean she's upset that she's going to Club Fed instead of prison.....gee i feel bad for her......

from what i hear...fed is the best place to be if you gotta be on the inside....

How can one with so much fame and money just get themselves in situations like this? What a ****ing embarrasment to the human race.

Tangita I think she was basically just trying to keep it real and not snitch out on her so called boys or those she thought were her boys and then they flipped it on her and there always has to be a scapegoat and she was it. She was doign what she thougt was the right thing for freinds covering up never knowing they would play her . I am sure she has learned her lesson.

Just upsets me these people with so much money just getting themselves into heavy problems. Coño wtf can't they stay out of trouble? I'm not a rich man myself but damn I don't recall a time I gotten in trouble with the law.

Give me all the money that I need lol and I will disappear from the face of the Earth lmao

Its true what Biggie said: More money, more problems you see. But that is only true if you are not strong enough to handle your stuff and put your foot down being in control of things. Its a shame she has to do time.
