She lays in her bed
Staring at the ceiling
Thoughts of him race thru her head
Yet she is still unsure on what she’s feeling
She closes her eyes trying to drown out the voices
The ones that won’t stop screaming in her head
She knows to quiet them down she will need to make some choices
But she wasn’t ready for that she just wanted to sleep instead
Images of him came to mind how they were before
How his kisses taste and how his touch made her feel
She imagined his smile and how he made her feel so adored
Quickly she opens her eyes hoping he was real
But all she finds is the moonlight filling her room
He was no longer there yet his scent still linger there
Memories of what was said rang true
All the pain came flowing back and it was more than she could bare
She remembered the day she had to call him
She remembered how he laid beside her that night
Holding, soothing, kissing and saying the right things even then
Trying to make everything all right
She remembered how she had wished it was her that died
Not …no, no she couldn’t bring herself to think of that
She sat there alone and cried
Wishing now that he was there with her now that he came back
But there was no turning back he was leaving
He had come over to tell her that he was moving
She was barely breathing
She knew she loved him who was she fooling
If she told him how she really felt that it was him she needed then
Just maybe he would stay
But she knew all the memories of that day would still haunt them
And when he looked at her he would always remember that day
So even though her heart ache and it was tearing up her heart
She knew keeping quiet was the best she could do
Maybe this is what they needed… this new start
And when they saw each other again … their love will be stronger and new
