In NYC handling my biz!!!!
Since we're in VIP now and can talk about anything, I want to bring up something I remember reading in other forums on CF about Freestyle Artists.

People have bashed on them and I could never understand why some artists were "labeled" as stuck up because they couldn't say "hi" or sign an autograph at that moment. I have never seen any artist in freestyle that is stuck up. I've been to a lot of shows with my hubby "& MORE" and all of the artists I have met through him have all been very nice.

Now in being an artist I know they have an act to put on. And when putting on an act, you have to act a certain way. It goes with the show. Could that be why so many people have "misinterpreted" an artists behavior?
 
Well, i think that is normal to have a bad day and be moody because on top of everything they are humans first, and everyone has those days. But another thing is just being real mean each and everytime they have a show to people that are either inspired by their music or just love music period. :listen

there where 2 artists that others told me had an atitude but found that not to be the case so go figure
 
it's funny you start this thread, speaking on part of Nick Colon, we have hear alot of people (especially other artists) say that he is stuck up and anti social at shows, the REAL truth and matter of fact being....before a show he does not like to speak, as to rest his voice and is constantly going over his show in his head, and with this he seperates himself from the crowd as to concentrate. BUT...others jump to conclusions and say--oh who does he think he is..blah blah blah blah.....he's as humble as they come. as for me..yea..i think i'm all that, but that's a WHOLE other novel..lol...

You are funny with that being a "whole other novel". LMAO Now as far as Nick Colon, I could understand him trying to rest his voice and concentrate in his head about the show he's about to put on. Every artist has their own way. Truly understandable. 🙂
 
I've heard people talk about a certain "diva" and say that she is stuck up. I approached her for an autograph, and she was friendly, smiled, and signed my cd.
 
I've never met any artist so i can't speak :sosad but i did see lisette melendez perform down here at the puerto rican day parade she was awesome. :dancingb

Well when you give birth and start going to the freestyle events, you will meet a lot of the artists. 😀
