I was in FYE yesterday and i was browsing through the video/dvd section under "L" and i came across a dvd with the title "LATIN HIP-HOP" and i got all excited so i take it off the shelf and read the contents and its videos of actually latin "hip-hop artists" like fat joe, the latin guy from "cypress hill" and a slew of others. dam, looks like were losing another title! 🙁

Well, that's no suprise. No matter what we call "it" wew will always have a hard time finding it under a "correct" heading 🙁
That's one reason I always liked the term "Hearthrob". I don't think that term can be confused with hip hop or rap.

Yes Anthony that is my favorite name for it, I remember asking way back when 'What is Heartthrob?" That can never be confused or "bitten" by anyone else!

Cypress is dat shhh, and the whole Soul Assassin Familia Mellow Man Ace, The Psycho Realm, Funkdoobiest, Everlast, Delinquent Habits, SX-10, etc.

The latin hip hop of yesterday (freestyle) isnt the latin hip hop of today. It remains just an inside term amongst us today but the mass will probably never see it the way we do.
