Do You know where your last name originated from?


About 10 yrs ago me & my mom went into a store in orlando where they have lots of stuff with last names. So the guy at the counter asked us if we wanted to know where our last name came from. I was told that my name came from King Henry..dont remember which one, but he went to Spain to some fountain and made it his last name...FUENTES.

I have no clue...I am Portuguese but my last name is def not Portuguese it's actually hard to say in Portuguese....I have never met anyone with my last name other than family...I think it's an Italian last name possibly Spanish...as for my mother's maiden name (that I use as part of my last name too) it's a bit more common but I think its of Spanish origin cuz of the way its sounds

i think my name is from about 4000 years ago (i just found out).. somehow a chinese emperor renamed his family "chen" which made its way to vietnam & another king passed on his name "chen" to some tribe.. and eventually it evolved into TRAN which we know today 🙂
