Wow other than the Jellybean era of the Funhouse for my early club years

My Fresstyle beginnings were spent primarliy at Lamours!
One of my biggest laughs which went to technical infamy was when Juankato kept producing feedback on I believe Trilogy. I remembered that everyone at the bar, dancefloor, bathrooms and parking lot held thier ears and said DAMn!!! It seemed it happenrd alot and some DJ's I knew termed feedback as "aaawp he Juankato'd". (Not hating on Kato just a memory LOL)

Plus some crazy freestyle dancers who had to much to drink and lost thier shoes during a spin that clocked a bouncer by the stage!

I know there are plenty with the artists too!

Post any of your encounters

I went to L'Amour East one New Year's Eve, probably 1987 or 1988 and it featured a million freestyle artists on one stage. Most memorable were Nayobe, TKA, Maribel, Latin Rascals, but there were tons and tons.

L'amour East was one of my first freestyle clubs along with Paleds also on Queens Blvd.
I remember before going to L'amours we use to get there real early to go to Golden Q (pool hall ) across the street ,playing pool and hanging out for hours before making our way in across the street .
I recall seeing "The Breeze" , "Cynthia" ,"Rob Base" and "Brenda K.Starr " on stage .
Do you guys remember that you had to go there on certain nights , on other nights it was a Heavy Metal club.
I know L'amours is no longer there , does anyone know what is there now ?
I have some wild stories that me and my friends still talk about to this day that took place there ...

Golden Q is now called Play which is a pool hall/ 4 lane bowling alley, lounge and bar with a live DJ almost every night of the week. Cool crowd there.

Back in 86 when I was 16, I was at club called La’More East on Queens Blvd, where I she first Nayobe Performed that night, apparently somehow I was able sneak backstage met & her very briefly after the concert. She was truly down to earth person❤️.That next day I went downtown to Tower Records brought her LP🔥💽the very next day, which I STILL have to this very day💯
