Well, here is a set of queer eyes for the straight guy.

socks should match your pants, not your shoes. If you wear black pants, black socks.

If you are on the thinner side, shirts tucked in, if you are on the heavier side, shirts untucked.

Try to make one smooth "line of color", which will make yourself look taller. Example: Black jeans, black t-shirt, with a striped or patterned button down on top, but unbuttoned. The black pants and t-shirt will make you look taller, while the other shirt adds color.

AVOID horizontal stripes. They make you look heavier.

buy for your size. If you are a "large", don't wear "Extra Large", as the extra material will make you look bigger.

Look for colors that work with your skin tone.....neon orange is NOT the way to go.

Stay away from Jersey there time has come and gone try a nice tee shirt with a button down, Khakis and some nice polos check Clubmonaco.com and the gap they have some real nice ones and you can where them with the khakis as well as with a nice pair of jeans get a nice hat try somthing other then a baseball cap try a nice engineers cap check out www.apc.fr they have a real cute one there. Also a nice pair of shade goes a long way I dont knwo abotu the rest of the ladise but ther is somethign intrigueing about a man in nice shades anything by Marc jaacobs, Paul Smith or Ray-ban its better if you actually visit a store its usually youngladies who assist you with your purchase and will be better able to tell you wat looks good as oposed to ordering them online or picking them out yourself. As chuck said stay away from Horizontal stripes they tend to make us appear bigger always go vertical its more slimming, and also follow Chucks advice in regards tp sizes too big.800-542-5427 ext36290. Avoid having to much of one color in your closet mix it up if you wear lots of black lessen it throw some olives, baby blues, browns beiges just because a color matches everything doesnt neccessarily mean it looks good. If I knew your exact height and weight I could help you moer but this is standard for most men.

SexyAngel is right about the glasses. Try to find something with a good color lens. I've seen lenses in blues and greens. NOPE. stick to basic black or brown tinted lenses.

I always get compliments on my sunglasses, and I buy them at CVS for $12.00 a pop. I have a habit of taking them off, and leaving them on the car seat, and someone sits on them. :yoomg

Oh man I forgot to mention...I think more important than the clothes are the shoes. I think the shoes make the person. I seen people wearing phat gear...and the shoes are ****ed up! :lol
