.....was definitely one of the tracks that highlighted the night when Crystal Waters finally took the stage at 10:20 pm Saturday night, in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Cover Girls, who performed on a make-shift stage under a moonlit sky, got the crowd amped, finally after having to restart the same song four times because of technical difficulties. "Funk Boutique" was, at that point, ruined before it even started.
Only two out of the three girls showed up. However, I didn't notice either one of them. After carefully trying to go back and picture, in my head, the images of countless past shows, I eventually realized that the old members of the group had finally hung up their microphones for good.
They closed the show with a hip-hop friendly version of "Wishing On A Star" and exited the stage shortyly after the finale.
If it wasn't for the amazing voice behind the microphone, the whole performance would've flopped.
Where's Angel when you need her?
Crystal Water's, without a doubt, STOLE the show. She made the "only" entrance with "Party In The Getto". Everyone in the crowd, from 10-60 year's old, were definitely making it "one party in the getto".
Everything from her stage appearance to her performance was on point and she gave it her all. She was backed up by two male dancers. Other songs to follow were "Makin' Happy", "Gypsy Woman", and "100% Pure Love".
She looked amazing. Coming out with a cropped, black, stylish cut, defined & tanned body, a pair of Army fatigue, fitting pants, and a dark-green wife-beater. Fierce.
She danced while she sang, and she sang while she danced. Need I say more?
