THERE IS A SERIES OUT THERE ON THE STREETS CALLED KTU PLATINUM SERIES THERE ARE 10 IN TOTAL. THEY SELL FOR $5 FROM BOOTLEGGERS AND THE RECORD STORES SELL THEM FOR $18(BECAUSE IT'S GOT KTU ON IT). THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD CD'S HOWEVER THEIR NEWEST ONE WHICH JUST CAME OUT IS PLATINUM 10 IT HAS A LOT OF FREESTYLE ARTITS ON IT. IT HAS RUNNING 2001 BY INFO. SOCIETY, THE NEW TKA, AND THE SAFIRE CYNTHIA DUET. CHECK IT OUT IT'S REALLY COOL. THEY DO NOT SELL THESE IN TOWER RECORDS OR ANY OTHER CHAIN STORES. THIS IS A DJ MIX. CHECK THEM OUT HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY.

They are also, as everyone knows, bootlegs and the artists not only don't receive any money from the sale of these cd's but they actually lose money because now you won't buy the real record.

If your as pissed as I am about seeing this stuff on the streets, call 1-800-Bad-Beat and report these vendors.

P.S. In NYS it is a felony to sell these.

bootleg or not no one is playing dance music outside of florida and new york, cali and texas are going down actually cali is already out of the game and texas this year alone has lost some of its dance stations when I hear a good song I go out and buy it to me bootlegs are a form of promotion trust me a real fan would buy the music and as for robbins records regarless of your music being freestyle or not your it still kicks ass I love dee dee's forever definitely awesome to bad it dosent get airplay out in cali could definitely get places if it was worked onto the radio

Actually, you can add cities like Chicago & Seattle to the list of cities that are looking out for Dance music on the radio to some degree. The Seattle station is only a High School station but they have a good listenership and can sell a label some records.

I know what your saying about the "promotion" aspect of mix cd's but the fact is that it's not right and doesn't help artists get paid in the long run.

How do the artists that are on these bootlegs feel?

There are now a decent supply of legitimate dance cd's out there. Everything from trance to techno to freestyle to pop.

And thanks for the Dee Dee comments. That record kicks and is just getting started. If you like that record you should checkout the next two tracks coming out on Robbins. The Ian Van Dahl follow up called, "Will I?" and then this unbelievable song called "Something" by Lasgo. Rumor also has it that we might even have a freestyle track or two coming out soon. 😀

WHY WOULD YOU WANNA REPORT THE BOOTLEGGERS UNLESS YOUR A RAT!!!! AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT EVENTUALLY HAPPENS TO RATS. BUT AT LEAST THE BOOTLEGGERS BRING US THE MUSIC THAT THE DAM RADIO DOSENT PLAY BECAUSE THE RADIO SUCKS. ESPECIALLY KTU. SO IF YOUR AGAINST BOOTLEGS THEN JUST LOOK ON. DON'T RUIN IT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE MUSIC. BESIDES IF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY WOULD NOT RIP PEOPLE OFF THEN BOOTLEGGERS WOULDN'T EXIST ANYWAYS. YOU SEE THE ARTICLES IN THE NEWS THAT CD'S ARE SO OVER PRICED. SO GET A GRIP.

I agree with Robbins

and that Dee dee is PHAT !

mr freestyle clueless again

talking about freestyle how about releasing a freestyle compilation from all your music and releasing it in limited supply and the daisey cd I know its completed so just test the market and see what happens with a limited supply as always robins records a sign of quality I really didnt listen to dance music outside of freestyle till you guys came around everything youve released has been worth the price🙂
