Just an FYI. We are releasing Kathy's single on July 23rd. Includes mixes from Chris Phillips and Giuseppe D. Best of all, it's a freestyle release!!!

Another upcoming Freestyle release will be Rockell's "Tears". Date to be announced.

I remember hearing "I WISH" by Kathy Phillips over 1 year ago. Will this be the same song, or has it been re-recorded since then?

I am definitely looking forward to "TEARS" by Rockell. I am asuming that both will be available on 12" vinyl?

Same song with fresher mixes. I think it sounds great. And yes, both the Kathy Phillips & Rockell tracks will be available on vinyl when they are released.

that is the best news i have heard in a long time. 2 great songs. "tears" by rockell is the best song on the album and long overdue for release. should push this song on radio too.

Finally. I already have the song, on Euro Freestyle Invasion, and I have heard the mix on Euromix 8 (but was afraid to buy the CD because of all the "COPY PROTECTED CD" warnings on the label), and I downloaded the extended original mix because the Euro Freestyle Invasion track was under 3 minutes in length (!!) only to find that the "extended" mix was simply extended with a single drum loop at the end.. useful for mixing in for DJs but not for listening to... But I'm looking forward to hearing the new mixes on the single. Still, I think they should put a nice "B-side" on the single to make it really worth getting, since "I wish" is kind of old (at least to the Canadian market and to Freestyle fans. To the typical top-40 market it might catch on).

Tarp...I agree with the Top 40 market..I think she will appeal to the masses out there!

And Rockell's Tears!! Tis' a great track...

"I Wish" is brand new again here in Canada with the trance remix by DJ Comet and a new freestyle remix in the breakbeat genre on the brand new freestyle heaven vol. 4 from SPG Music (www.spgmusic.com) which also includes new freestyle from Double You, Lasgo, Orion Too, Elissa, Marilyn Dia, Zoé, Freestyle Project feat. Prima Donna and german favourites Ceres, Freestyle Project, Sweet TB, Anthony Norris, Officer & Elios and more... support it!

Kathy Phillips is on heavy radio rotation here and those remixes are different and will not appear on the Robbins Entertainment/BMG USA release.

I remember when Robbins Entertainment started. YOu have released nothing but quality music, especially freestyle. I will have to buy this one on your referral. Keep on pumping the freestyle!
 
Ive had that song for so long now and more and more remixes keep coming out and appearing on like every new compilation honestly im so sick of it ive had that song since october but for the record it is a good song and i used to love it off when i first got it
 
Jparker, I was just curious, why the delay between the release of "What U Did 2 Me" and "Tears"?

Have to be honest, I listen to all types of music, and always thought "Tears" was one of the stronger tracks of Rockell's album, and should've been the lead single, not "The Dance".
 
i agree with chuckd, i think "tears" should have come out first. i hope the same $$$ and effort is put into promoting "tears" as it was for "the dance". i really didn't like "the dance" much at all. our local dance station from a year or two ago (power 105.5 in sacramento) never touched "the dance", not even in the mixes. never heard it once on the station. but they did play "what u did to me" and i think i even remember hearing "tears" too.
 
jparker, are you going to send a copy of Kathy Phillips' "I Wish" or Rockell "Tears" to Promo Only? I have a subscription to Rhythm Radio, and it would be great if these songs made it on their August or September issue. If so, what mix would you send them? Thanks.
