What is your thoughts of soon to be Chief Justice John Roberts?


He's a bad choice. Another conservative. He doged questions about Roe vs Wade, Patriot Act.
 
Personally I don't think he's half bad....And of course he will dodge those questions....The thing is, he is highly qualified for the job having sat on the bench in the federal level, argued about 35 cases before the Supreme Court....plus he also originally had started as a law clerk for Judge Rehnquist......

yes but as a judge how can he answer those questions? he cannot say well yeah i am pro choice or well i am against abortion. a judge isnt supposed to take sides but hear the case out first and then base his/her decision on evidence presented. i personally think he is a good choice maybe he will finally be a good thing to come out of the Bush administration!!!
 
tellin' u guys now all hell is gonna break loose when abortions are illegal...... it's heading in that direction.... we didn't do enough to stop the criminals Chenney & Bush from getting in.... I'm praying I don't have to say "I told u so" like I had to after Gore beat Bush & it was stolen..... :bangbang

I totally agree. I'm sure his first order of business will be overturning Roe v. Wade and we can't let that happen.
 
I don't get it.... how come more people don't get how dangerous this conservative thinking is????? Until we have no rights at all then we'll care???? :bangbang
 
I think people just don't pay attention to politics. I used to be one of them, thinking nothing would ever trickle down to me, but it has and it does. If Katrina wasn't a big enough eye-opener then I don't know what it will take. Go Kanye! 😉
