Hi,

I know this song is not freestyle but it is from a once freestyle singer and this song is so HOT esp the JJ Flores mix. Does anybody know if there is a freestyle version available? If not, someone has to do it...this song is soooooo good...

As far as I know, there is no "Freestyle" mix of it. I have the 12" single & the cd single & they don't have a freestyle mix on them.

Yo I'm in love with this track....With this Jocelyn track blowing up on radio right alongside the Dezrock version of La Bouche "In Your Life", it feels like '96-'97 all over again...remember the days of "Do You Miss Me" and "Be My Lover"?

I love this song! I thought she did a great job on it. I remember doing a couple of shows with Jocelyn, and even back then we used to say she will do great! and she has.

Congratulations girl.

I don't think it is too much to ask to include a freestyle mix on the single, wether it is in the old school, electro, planet rock, energetic 2 step or breakbeat genres, this is a minimum required from an artist like Jocelyn; make it happen please🙁

required from jocelyn?, if an artist isn't doing freestyle anymore, how is it required? I mean I understand you wanting to hear a freestyle version of the song, but maybe they are trying to get radio play with her song. Actually I think the song (well the version KTU is playing) has a teensy bit of freestyle flavour in it, it doens't sound totally pop, or house.

It's all about promotion, as we all know. How many stations are going to play the freestyle version as opposed to how many stations are going to play a more current-sounding mix of the song. It's not the artist's fault that the state of freestyle these days (on radio) is abysmal. If you like the song, request it, buy it. It'll help the artist gain more control over his/her career so that in the future they'll have more say in the type of mixes that are produced.

well there is a breakbeat remix in the works! if that helps anyone!!!

Bassbump,

I totally agree with you. You would think that an artist like Jocelyn would have a freestyle(ish) version. She's had it with all her other songs in the past. You would assume that there would be one. It doesn't have to be the version radio plays, just include a version that would appeal to everybody - even though I do like the JJ Flores mix. A breakbeat mix? that's good enough for me 🙂

a freestyle version does not appeal to everybody. just the freestyle fans, who if they don't like it won't buy it anyway.

Nyasia,

I mistyped that...thanks...

What I meant to say was to include mixes that would appeal to everyone. Like she did with 'Do You Miss Me'. She had the triphop, freestyle, house, hi-nrg, etc.

Here in Canada, breakbeat is an integral part of the freestyle sound. I look forward to the mix in the breakbeat genre asap. Thanks for the info 🙂

damned if u do, damned if u don't. lol

i heard the track and it's kewl but i'm not really into it. but it's not a genre issue. i like jocelyn a lot but the song (n what i've heard of the rest of the album) seems to be more directed towards a female audience, so i can't really relate to it much.

but it's kewl jocelyn, empower the sistas! lol

lol...the album is out now...."WHY" is honestly the best track on the album I FEEL!!!
