Hey guys- its been a super busy month in the world of freestyle. Over at KTU, our listener research has told us that our Sunday night is a consistant ratings winner...big congrats to Judy for keeping a steady audience....Our phones have never been so busy before!!!!
In other news....freestyle can now be heard in Phoenix, AZ on the radio as well as netstreamed on the new X103 in Phoenix from 9-11PST as part of their Saturday night dance party featuring Staten Island's own DJ James Anthony. Can you imagine- a whole city being exposed to freestyle on a large scale for the first time!? You can listen on the net at www.103x.net
Also- tonight, May 26th 2004 marked the return of freestyle music to the legendary college radio station B91 (its former name)- college radio at Kingborough CC in Brooklyn NY. At 11 PM, DJ James Anthony hit the airwaves with a live in-studio mix set featuring songs unheard on the Brooklyn airwaves in over a decade. Plans are now in the works to bring back "the rhythm of the city", on a small scale, every Wednesday night. I myself will be doing live mixshow sets as well as acting as a consultant in the development of this project.
Lastly- May 30th at the Copa! We are expecting a phenomenal turnout, and myself and my pal Mickey Garcia are gonna turn it out on the main dance floor. Hope to see you all there!
It's going to be a busy summer freestyle heads...from Arizona to Brooklyn NY- always hookin it up!
Sincerely
James Anthony
