For those of us with cell phones (pretty much means everyone) in the memory section store the name ICE (In Case of Emergency) and a number with the area code.

If you are injured and unable to talk, paramedics and police have been told to look here for a contact phone number to call on your behalf. If you have more than one (home; work; parents; your mate's work) list them as ICE-1 and then ICE-2 ect.

This was thought up by a paramedic and has now become pretty common knowledge among emergency service personnel. Might help. Can't hurt.

For a minute here I thought you was talking about bling bling on cell phones 😛

Hey that is a great idea! :cheers

And I'm such a genius! *takes bow*

Ok so it wasn't me, but yeah the term is pretty common in the med field. I remember one of my first weeks on the job and we were at an accident scene and the guy wansn't able to speak, and my partner said "look for the ICE" and I literally thought ice as in ice cubes and it took me a minute to realize that wasn't what was meant. :lol Of course I then spent the next several months having to live down a barrage of jokes, nicknames and teasing before my co workers let me live it down.
