If anybody remembers; ten years ago today. This was a time that even macho men like me was starting to watch Figure Skating. It was because of White trash queen Tonya Harding hiring three inbreed thugs to take out Nancy Karrigan's knee in order for her to win the US Gold. But Tonya did not even go into the finals in the Olympics.

Who remembers that wild event in the so femme glam, perfect sport of Figure going wild.

Too bad white trash queen harding is got amatuer porn and boxing/celeb boxing and beating ex boyfriends with hubcaps.

thats not right that biatch should get f@cked up for what she did... my niece Ice skates and if anyone messed w/ her they'd be dead meat lol

The 94 Skating in the Olympics was the 8 most watched show of all time.

Even the most macho men was glued to figure skating. This was huge.

I think this was huge was, it looked like this was a huge cat fight. Guys love a good catfight. :hearton . Also, the fact something like this would happen in such a gracious sport like figure skating.

I was a very big fan of figure skating in the mid 90's..I used to go to a lot of the tours that that they did like Stars on Ice. The Nancy/Tanya thing catapulted figure skating into a major sport and there were specials on TV all the time. But after going to the shows, I realized just how talented these skaters really are. I once had second row seats and I was amazed at how technical their moves are. I always loved when they skated to popular music! The popularity of skating has definitely died down over the past few yrs, but I still like to watch it every now and then.

No..the popularity of skating had already waned before that whole French judge fiasco. There were already less specials...the peak of figure skating's popularity was definitely in the mid to late 90's.

I've been a huge figure skating fan since 1980's.......

The saddest part of that whole episode was that Tonya didn't need to have all that done to Nancy. Tonya was the physically strongest female skater. She could land a triple axel. She's the only American woman to land that jump. If she had continued to practice and train as she should have, the whole knee-whacking wouldn't have happened.

As for Nancy, she was a great American skater, who was cheated out of the gold at the 1994 Olympics.

They say tha Oksana beat Nancy by 0.1 of a point. That is not true. Nancy's and Oksana's scored were a tie. To break the tie, they went to the last judges artistic score for both women. That judge gave Nancy a 5.8, and Oksana a 5.9, and that's where the 0.1 difference showed up. However, instant replays showed that Oksana made two mistakes that did not get deducted from her marks. If the marks were deducted, Nancy would've won the gold.
