Guess what I'm doing on Thursday night???

I've decided to go under the needle and get a tattoo!

LOL

I met with the artist yesterday, and she sketched out a design that I want and I'm going Thursday at 7 to get it.

It will be on the left upper arm, above the sleeve line, because tats are a no-no at work.

It's going to be a partial band, celtic knot, and in the center, a pink triangle.

allow me to explain....

When Hitler had the death camps in World War 2, he marked each prisoner's uniform with a symbol to show why they were in the camps. Jewish people were marked with a star of David.

Over 100,000.00 men were killed in the camps for being homosexual. Their uniforms were marked with a pink triangle, point down.

The gay comunity decided to turn a negative into a positive, and the pink triangle is now a gay symbol. Places that cater to the gay comunity will have a pink triangle on display in the door or window.

Life has become much more positive for me since my coming out, and the changes have made me happy, and I always want to remember that no matter how bad things may seem, those who went before me had it worse, so I'm choosing to mark myself this way.
