Great show at the Culture Club Last night!@! Thanks To Chuck And Scott( all the way from Rochester) for coming Down!
When we got to the Club, the 1st thing Gioia saw was a sign that saud "Performing Live: Expose" All of the clubs ads promoted that Expose' was going to be there. Now , for a minute, put yourself in Gioia's shoes: The crowd thinks they are going to see Expose' and it's just me....How are they going to react??? ***NOTE : Gioia DOES NOT advertise herself as Expose' or even formerly of Expose' as many artists that were once in a group do, but Promoters use many tactics without notifying the artist*** Well, if that were me, I'd be scared of the reaction and run Home!!! But Gioia??? NO WAY!!

She walks out on the stage and said " Hey, I saw the poster that said Expose'...I didn't know Ann and Jeanette were gonna be here!" LMAO! She then went on to apologize for the way the show was advertised and may have misled people...She said " I'm gonna do My best to give you a Great show, and if afterwards you are disappointed, I WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK OUT OF MY OWN POCKET!!!" My mouth just dropped open when she said that!! Now, we all know groups whose lead former lead singers and even background singers will use the group name they are no longer in. NOT GIOIA~ I have never seen any artist SO determined to make it on their talent, not on the past of being in a group!!!
This girl is special, and, GIOIA is going to be BIGGER than Expose' was... Watch...
 
Sounds like it was a great show. Gioia was always the one in the group that came across like a tiger. But Scott maybe you can get her to come and visit us here @ CF. She's a member. She can tell us what's going on with her and her new stuff. Can you HOOK IT UP!
 
I must say it must be difficult for Gioia to try to make a name for herself, when clubs advertise her as "Expose`".....I know the ads for LQ's when she played billed her as Gioia.

When she got onstage and said that "I saw the ad said Expose`, I'm so excited! Where are Ann and Jeanette???" LOL I was crying!

It was a great night at Culture Club.

They played all 80's dance music......Madonna, Sheila E., New Order, Depeche Mode, Judy Torres, Sweet Sensation, TKA, Marshall Jones, Debbie Gibson, Maurice......people were screaming for the music.

Gioia hit the stage with two male dancers, and did a 5 song set. She sang:

Come Go With Me
I Was Made For Lovin' You (Kiss remake off her new album)
Let Me Be The One
Be Mine (next single off her new album)
Point Of No Return

She was all over that stage, dancing and singing her butt off.

Definitly recommend seeing her, and I wish her luck with her new material!
 
Oh Damn, Im So Sorry I Missed It Being That We Had Nothing To Do Last Night. I Totally Forgot That She Was Performing Or As I Thought Expose Since I Did Here It Being Promoted Like That.im Glad You Guys Had A Great Time And I Will Try To Catch Her The Next She Is Performing.

Gioia- A true diva. It take's a "real" artist to actually come out on stage and say some shit like that. I give her all the props. When she came to Boston to perform for Star 93.7, I had to meet her. And she is one of the most down to earth artist I have met. So full of energy, and if I wasn't Gay.....well, I'll just leave that one alone. 🙂

Best part of the set? Seeing the Exposure album I brought and held up, her reaction was to point me and it out to the venue security: "MAKE SURE he gets downstairs after so I can sign that for him!" I had a feeling going in that "someone" 😉 would try to get any CFers in on the meet & greet, but it can't hurt to have the artist herself on your side! :dancingb
