Should it be legal,according to state or all of U.S. or should it be legal at all?

I always believed marriage to be a joke,not taken seriously.But still people love to get married and ,so I believe GAY/BI/LESBIAN/STRAIGHT/TRANS it should be legal,I believe GOD loves us all and we all should have the same right.

It should be legal. I really don't care if the same sex loves each other. As long as there is love in the world it makes it a better place. Lets focus on VIOLENCE, MURDERS, RAPISTS, TERRORISM, SHARKS WITH LASERBEAMS ATTACHED TO THEIR HEADS.

Personally, I have no problems with it, just as long as they keep it behinds closed doors.

why not....if two people love each other....it's no one else's say if they should marry or not..esp the church's

Vermont let's us have something very close. They call it a civil union.

Mass. Supreme Court has just decided that it is unconstitutional to ban gays from getting married, and they will be voting on making a motion to allow gays to marry, or give them an equivilant to marriage in the next 120 days.

There are a lot of people who don't want to give gays the legal right to marry. We don't want this right because we want to get up in your face about it.

If a straight couple marries, and the husband dies, the wife is considered his next of kin, and can receive benefits in a time of need. A gay couple can not.

If a straight couple marries, and one becomes seriously ill and is in the hospital, the husband/wife is the one making decisions. With a gay couple, the patients next of kin (immediate family) can override any decisions the "partner" has made because he/she is not legally next of kin.

If a straight couple marries, and want to adopt a child, they can, if they are found to be suitable parents. If a gay couple adopts, because they are not married, one of the two men/women can legally adopt the child but the other is not considered a legal guardian.

We are not asking for special rights, we just want what you are given automatically.
