OMG!! Did you guys catch the Detroit/Pistons Game on ESPN last nite? I was on line chatting w/ hubby when I flipped some channels.. saw the game.. put it on.. and 5 mins later.. a fight broke out. It looked like a Mini Riot! It's under investigation by Police who are reviewing videos of how this all unraveled. The Pistons were not happy since they were getting their azzes spanked on the court by The Pacers.. Wallace (with all that hair) was fouled by the wanna be Rap Artist ARTEST.. Well Ben didnt like it too much and overeacted and pushed Ron.. WEll.. next thing you know.. a FAN threw a bottle at Artest and that started the brawl.. It was unreal to see how easily people become violent. I mean, it was a riot up in there..As the players were leaving to the locker room the fans were throwing food, soda, beer & all kinds of things at the Pacers. It was horrible to watch.. Gonna be interesting to see how Dave Stern is going to handle this situation.
Needless to say the.. the game had to be called.. and given to the Pacers since they were ahead at the time.. Final score 97-82..

Neverending DRAMA in the NBA!! Lol..

Here's the Official NBA Story:

Jackson delivered knockouts of all kinds as the Pacers brawled with fans in the stands and on the court after a 97-82 victory over the Pistons, a game that was called with 45 seconds to play.

In one of the craziest melees in NBA history, Jackson, Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal all landed haymakers on unruly Pistons fans, who showed the worst side of their behavior by throwing everything from plastic bottles to chairs at members of the Pacers, who fought back - literally.

"That was the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life as a coach or player," Pistons coach Larry Brown said. "I'm just embarrassed for our league and disappointed being a part of this with young people seeing that."

Several Pacers went into the stands to accost fans who had thrown things. Jackson climbed into the seats and landed a roundhouse right that floored a fan next to another fan who had thrown a plastic beer bottle at Artest, hitting him in the face.

Fans continued to throw things and verbally accost members of the Pacers. Several came onto the court and one took a fighting stance against Artest, who dropped him with a punch. O'Neal ran over and floored another fan with a righthanded blow.

Yep, I saw it once only. My hubby and son kept changing channels to watch it over and over and over again on different sports channels. :lol Men are too much. Just like kids. But anyway, I guess there will be people in trouble and arrested by today since the investigation started last night.

This is one the biggest brawls ever is sports. The fans really crossed the line when one of them threw a bottle at Ron Artest. This is gonna change lots of things in sports and the fans. This is the third athlete, fan fight this year!!

Wonder whats gonna happen when the teams meet up again in Dec.. I think Dec 25th in Indiana.. Wonder how the fans gonna react! That shyt was crazy..
U think alcohol at these type of events should be served? They said that would have possibly also been a contributing factor as to how the fans reacted.

they are some bad fans out there throwin drinks and pop corn on players and they say philly fans are bad well this is not how philly fans act they should keep the fans out of the game for good for doing that .

Sadly Joe, but without the fans, well.. there would be no teams.. It was just a bad situation that was magnified horribly..

hey dude..anybody have a downloadable video??? i've seen only parts on ESPN motion..but i wanna see the whole thing..any hookups?

Today Commisner David Stern is gonna hand out suspensions. I think this not only change The NBA. but sports period!. The was a big brawl that happened yesterday with South Carolina vs Clemson.

This is just a case of when the fans thought they were part of the game, then actually watching it.

Artest should've stayed his happy ass on the court and let security handle it... then again.. he's an ass...

I dont know how they're gonna do when they have to play again... Best believe though that they're will be a Sh*t load of security that day.

Rican i agree with u ma. They shouldn't be serving up drinks at these types of event... or atleast they should have a limit as to how many beers or alcoholic beverages a person can buy.

It's always gotta be one stupid ass mofo that can't hold his or her liquor that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s it up for those who can...

Well.. Artest got suspended for the rest of the year.. guess he can go and work on his rap skills now! Lol...

LMAO!! "Enter at your own Risk"!!! :splat :uzi

I think professional athletes have somekind of responsibility to conduct themselves in somekind of respectible manner, and I must admit, before I saw the video, I was glad that the penalties against the players were "excessive". But after I viewed it, I dont think it is fair. Just because an athlete makes millions of dollars does not give people a right to abuse them, verbally or physically. That payday doesnt automatically grant people an "open season" on abusing them. I think the players were just protecting them, like anyone would.
I do think when professional athletes say they have no responsiblity to children concerning behavior...that bullsht, I think they do, kids look up to alot of them. But in this case...I dont see that they did anything wrong.
