Can anyone remember Freestyle songs and artists that didn't make much of an impact in your city although their trax were just as good as other tunes?

Here in Miami I can think of a couple of local singers and their songs that may have not been played on radio to much or at all,but their tunes were pumping in the clubs and even record sales were great for them.

Tony Marino - One Love, this cat had an awesome voice and his track was better then most of the jams on radio at the time, for some reason station directors didn;t place his tune on rotation.

Diana - Sweet Sensation - hot ass Cuban girl with pipes from hell, she could hold a note like no other, the track was produced by local Blind producer Mikey C, it got radio play on Rythm 98 and Hot 105, but not much, although radio mixers did jam it a lot.

Teri - My body needs your touch - another song produced by Mikey C, Teri was a fine, tall mulata woman with tons of sex appeal, she too was held back from much radio play, but was performing everywhere as the song became a hit in the clubs.

Platinum w/ Mohammed Moretta former Power 96 DJ had a good tune, but even his contacts in radio did not help for Platinum's song to play on stations on rotation, but rather on mix shows.

Heres a few i can think of

Babylove "heartbreaker" (Great vocals with a similar beat to temptation)

Sunni "When the shades pull down" (Great subject matter)

Caprice "There goes your heart" (modern feel with straight forward lyrics)

And last but not least

SAFIRE FEAT CYNTHIA "CAN YOU STAND THE RAIN" should have made the top 50 at least and made a video to go with it. So under rated.

I don't know how much this one blew up, but I always loved "Without Your Love" by Angelina and "With or Without You" by Ann Marie.

there's a song on bad boy's joe's new school compilation volume 2 that i love its called "release me". i don't know who sings it but thats a hot song. it should have, would have , could have blown up if we can get FS played on the radio... just kidding we won't start that conversation again.
