No. Those productions by Full Force are really R&B/pop, not freestyle. I don’t even consider the tracks they did with Lisa Lisa freestyle, although some people do. They were massive records that were more R&B flavored and even though Lisa Lisa is Latina that doesn’t make them
Freestyle. The sound of the music is what makes a track freestyle, and freestyle (especially NY freestyle) had a very specific dark, underground sound. Not all of it made it to radio, and most never became the kind of global hits like the Full Force tracks did. Gloria Estefan is Latina too, and her music isn’t freestyle. Brenda K. Starr did have some freestyle tracks in the beginning, like “Picking Up Pieces”, but her sound quickly went to mainstream dance/pop.

So most of websites contains error when they mention that some song of taylor dayne, samantha fox etc are freestyle .

I alos read the same for regina and Alisha . Regina it's more madonna sound but for alisha , i read on this forum that she is freestyle

Yes - it’s really an error to say Taylor Dayne, Samantha Fox, Alisha and Regina are freestyle. They are all dance/pop. Great music, but it is not freestyle at all. Freestyle is a very specific sound, and there are also different types of freestyle. New York freestyle is different than Miami freestyle (Miami freestyle is more of a “happy” sound than NY, which is darker).

A lot of people try to say Alisha or Taylor Dayne are freestyle but they are not.

You know in France , there was not famous here , except the Shannon hit .

There are so many great freestyle songs! Exposé’s earlier songs (Point of No Return, Exposed To Love) are definitely freestyle but then when they became really huge they became dance/pop too! 😂

There are so many great freestyle songs you can find on YouTube. If you want any suggestions I would be happy to tell you. Artists like Lydia Lee Love (Don’t Take Your Love Away) and Sandee (“You’re the One”) are great freestyle acts, and Sandee was actually one of the original members of Expose.

I'm very interested about history of members bands because some bands like TKA , Exposé , Company B , Sweet Sensation etc , they splitted a lot of time with new singers etc . Like for TKA when Aby was replaced by Angel or When Gioia from Exposé left the band because of health etc ...

But it's very difficult to find info about the girls bands like company b , sweet sensation and other , because they splitted a lot of time and even i learned recently for exemple "Fascinated" from Company b , the original female vocalist was not in the band (i think Charlotte McKinnon)

I don’t know much about Company B, but the story of Sweet Sensation is very easy to find. Is Real Love from Jody Watley a Latin freestyle song ?

There are gonna be some songs that people will debate as being freestyle or not. Coming from a person that live the era, 52 years young I went thru the whole disco, Electric Funk, Electro, era I assure there were some songs that had the characteristics of what we call Freestyle/Latin Hip-Hop now day, also they were lots of artist that when they first came out did songs that will be consider Freestyle. Jody Watley did a song call, "Don't you want me", Same goes for Tayler Dayne with "Tell it to my Heart" and "Prove Your Love", Joyce Sims "All and All" RIP. Jenny Burton "I remember what you like" and so on.
Also in my opinion songs to be included in the same group as freestyle in my opinion "All Night Passion" by Alisha, Freeez "IOU", Rockers Revenge "The Harder They Come" from the Arthur Baker/John Robie collaboration, Also Tommy Boy Records did a lot of songs to be consider "Electro" but they can easily fall under freestyle as well even thou people might even count them as hiphop, LOL

The so call term "Frestyle" or "Latin Hip-Hop" can be argue again and again, and again. You gonna have people thinking that it magically appear out of nothing and out of nowhere in the late 80's ealy 90's when in reality it was an evolution of different sounds and influences that can go back to the 70's that let to the creation of this music we now love so much.

Beatwise, 100% was influence by the Electro Era and it came in different beats patherns ( Call it whatever u like, or make it a regional thing if it makes you happy, but understand that it has many different beat sound AND IS OK)

Sythns ane effects, another important factor that goes hand in hand with the electro beat on freestyle can be trace way back to the 70's. Bands like kraftwork and Yellow Magic Orquesta, producers like Georgio Moroder and the likes from that era of late disco and early electric funk were a huge influence on the distictive sound of freestyle. Just remelber that they were songs playing on the radio way before the so call term "feeestyle" sound came out.
People will argue all the want, people will try to categorised music type without respecting its foundation or how it came to be but we must know its history.
Freesryle started underground at clubs and by DJ's before making it to the radio that alone should tell you how it came to be.
