Artistik's FREESTYLE PARADE 2K1 has over 20 tracks in total. I have a question, do u guys think we should release a 2 cd set or seperate the cds and sell them as FREESTYLE PARADE 2K1 disc 1 of 2 and put both in the stores at the same time. the 2 cd set would be expensive. but i wanna see what u guys think we should release. I am also thinking of releasing a limited edition vinyl on the album as well. let me know your thoughts..
 
Willie - I would love to see some vinyl!!!, but a 2 CD set for PARADE 2K1 sounds nice too

I gotta spit my piece.Here`s an idea.Why dont you release them as a 2 cd set with Vinyls to support your most radio friendly/freestyle friendly tracks.
In addition since you have a little extra space on the discs,make them Enhanced Cd`s.They play in any cd player and when u play them in a cpu/dvd player u get all these extra goodies.Live video footage,photos,links to web sites,bonus tracks and whatnot for the avid freestyle fan.This day and age we gotta give em a little extra on the cd so that stores will carry them and people buy them instead of bootlegging them.Video,is hard to pirate on the web and it gives incentive to buy the REAL CD just for the extras.Good Luck and keep ur fans posted.

well i see that everyone so far wants the 2 cd set and the vinyl. Kenny i was thinking of doing the enhanced cd thing. with videos of all the artists. Hope i can get it all done quick. the songs are all done now. just finishing off some interludes and an outro. wanna make this a cd to remember. since its the last of the freestyle parade series.. keep the ideas cooming people....
 
I can speak for San Antonio Willie when I say that you should release it on vinyl. I know that 25 ain't alot, but I can move at least 25 records here in San Antonio. As far as the double pack cd, all I can say by my experience is mostly all of my Freestyle customers are under 18 mostly still in HS with no job. Their parents usually go in with them to buy them 1 cd a week. It's just my opinion that you should make it 2 separate cds. I mean unless of course the double pack would go for $19.99. I would sell them individually, this way they have to buy them both plus you would probably make out a lil sumptin sumptin. Peace
 
2 in 1 for 2 K 1

I hate to sound like a troublemaker, but 20 tracks can fit on a single CD. I doubt your songs average more than 4 minutes each. You can fit them all onto one 80 minute CD. Most all of my Euro compilation (non-mixed) CDs are 20 or more songs per CD.

But relative to MOST Freestyle comps, 20 is a lot and may deserve to be put on 2 CDs, especially if they're all quality tracks. So, I'll buy it anyway.

If you wanna fill up space, add bonus remixes at the end, or add a megamix. Hey, a megamix that had songs from the entire Parade series would be slammin'.

I hear you jason. But thats only 20 tracks in music but about another 10 in Intro, outro, interludes, and we're trying to make it an enhanced cd with video of the artist. that wont fit on one cd would it? also the vinyl will be a two disc set as well. so its gonna be a little expesive. I dont wanna put something out that the fans dont wanna pay for.

WILLIE I WOULD RATHER SEE THE TWO CD SET. THE ONLY THING IS THE CORNY ASS STORED DONT HAVE ALOT OF ARTISTIK FREESTYLE IN THEM. WE GOTTA FIND A WAY TO GET IT ON THE SHELVES SO MORE PEOPLE GET INTO THE MUSIC. I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW EVERY ARTISTIK CD I HAVE IS THE BOMB KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
 
I would think that the 2 CD set would be cheaper than purchasing each CD separately at anywhere from 14.99 to 18.99 a piece. The 2 CD set, in a store, should run mayb 25 dollars at most. I like Jason's idea of adding more tracks, bonus tracks, maybe like extended mixes for us DJs out there. Please, no house mixes. It is always disappointing buying a Freestyle compilation with House tracks on it. Of course on your compilations I have not encountered that problem that is why I am not worried about buying anything from Artistik.
I will definitely buy, whatever route you take with this.
