So I walk in Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in Montego Bay and as soon as I walk in the door, I hear Safire & Cynthia's "Can You Stand The Rain".

By the way, I took over the DJ booth one night at the Sunset Beach resort and had the Freestyle kicking! (Old School)

The next day I was snorkeling at the resort and underwater I could feel the beat of "Planet Rock". When I swam to shore, and went to the pool I discovered an instructor teaching pool exercises to a cd full of electro funk like "Planet Rock", "Play At Your Own Risk, and Cheap Thrills".

Later at the pool side bar set up "Reggae Mon" told me to go get a cd, so we listened to Bad Boy Joe Vol 2 all the way through, blaring from the speakers!

The funny thing is that when I went to Jamaica (Ocho Rios), they were playing similar songs too, and Stevie B. , thats a shocker!!!

Even street vendors were selling cheap-quality (reproduced) tapes on the street corners for $3.00 US.

Black-market freestyle in Jamaica, go figure!!!🙄

Thats amazing........

Jamaicans are one of the coolest people I know. They are very warm blooded and talented when it comes to music. So it's no wonder they would enjoy our music.:yeey:rasta :yeey

I don't know...

But I heard an AWESOME version of "Where's The Party At" in reggae

it's always cool to hear freestyle music in other places, especially when you travel out of the usa. i remember going to mexico and hearing "silent morning" by noel and eating at a restaurant that was decorated with hundreds of pictures of celebraties including a picture of SAFIRE!!
