There was a documentary being planned & filmed according to a thread a few months back, does any one know what happened to it? is it still going ahead or what?
um yeah i got an A+ on it...........
um... no really it wasn't a school project lol. but we did start shooting the doc last summer with great interviews & rare old school 80's footage from some of freestyle's biggest stars, but due to my partners ungoing commitments to other documentarys we had to put the freestyle project on hold for the time being.i was crushed!
hey i'm glad there's more than one freestyle documentary, and believe me theres been more than 3 which have been in the works for a few years now. one being carlos berrios. it's not that easy, a lot of artist dont want to be bothered with it. we were fortunate though to interview a lot of the bigger artist. sad thing, some were even embarassed to admit they were ever associated with this music. sad since freestyle means so much to a lot of people.
the way i see it is this, other types of music always get tons of media attention with doc's on hip hop,r&B,disco, rock, etc. the more documentarys there is on our music, the more exposure our music gets. so more power who ever takes on this project, Freestyle is special and it needs to be documented so it would not be forgotten. word up.
