Freestyle at Coconuts

When shopping today at Coconuts (record store) mainly looking for Amber's new cd, "Naked". Stopped by the freestyle section (always small) and found the cds "Marano/Phillips", Adam Marano "Greatest Hits" and Metropolitan's "Ladies of Freestyle" vol 1, 2, & 3!

Also, there was a cd there by someone (possibly some group) named Topaz, titled "Freestyle". Does anyone own this one? and is it a good cd? If so, I'm gonna grab it while it's there.

I actually loved the album! my favorite song is DREARY DAY which could also be found on MR. MIAMI'S FREESTYLE COLLECTION Vol.1

Thats excellent Chuck. Nice to see that they are carrying these cds.

I am curious if ya bought the "Ladies Of Freestyle 2" which was mixed by me.
If ya did, I'd like to hear your opinion on the cd.

Actually Paradise, I only got vol 1, do to budget restrictions. Next paycheck, I'm back for Topaz, & Ladies Vol 2 & 3.

over here it might be different BUT if you have a RECORD TOWN/FYE near you try there also & possibly a SAM GOODY. I've had alot of luck at RECORD TOWN/FYE

i have the topaz cd
i hate his remake of why did u quit on me

i also have the topaz cd and i have all 3 vol of ladies of freestyle good job dj paradise.

Topaz is an underated artist. The big problem I had with his album was that most of the songs were old (some dating back to 1995, eg. "DREARY DAY"). Other than that is was OK.

"FOREVER AMOR/CARINO ETERNO" is the shining star of the album.

Tower in the lincoln center area, actually on broadway and 68th has a wider selection next to the dance/tribal section...😉
