Hey I'm not a South Florida person but I have been to many freestyle concerts in orlando!

1) favorite artist...hmmm..good question? Really don't have one

2) the best concert I been to here in orlando was at the palladium ..I saw The Nasty Boys, Soave, Cynthia, Noel and George Lamond!! woo-hoo..those were the days....
 
I ain't in S. Florida, but I'm in Tampa so it might be close enuff! 🙂

b) K7 - Passion.....Not that old a song, but was a Florida anthem for a while & reminds me of my 4-night a week clubbing dayz. 🙁 I miss those times!

c) We used to have a jam over here in Tampa every 4th of July called Booms Day & one year they brought Lissette Melendez, Linear & Timmy T....Man...what a show!!!!!

Freestyle performers

Hey ya'll.

Long time I don't post here...Sorry, been busy.

I went to Arena's in Miami last Friday night. Formerly know MADJACKS.

I was sitting by the bar just checking out the NIÑO'S and who walks in, up the stairs to the DJ booth? NON OTHER THAN RUDY GIL, from the Group Secret Society.

CAN WE SAY,,,,OMG...FLASH BACK,!!!

Well, needless to say Noel was performing that night. Then later on the DJ announces that JOHNNY O is in the house up in the VIP section w/his lovely wife. DOUBLE OMG.....

So, here it comes, SHOW TIME.

First to go up on the stage,,,,RUDY GIL, he sang, "Why Did you Run Away... then "We Belong Together"...

He said he's coming back to his stage life...I HOPE SO...he's got a he*l of a voice.

Then Johnny O performed,,,DREAM BOY DREAM GIRL, WE WERE PROMISED BY JAMMIN JOHNNY THAT HE WILL BRING BACK TO THAT STAGE THE DUO......LET'S SEE....IM SURE WE WILL..🙂

THEN NOEL....OF THE CHANG,,,HM, HM, HM...FINGER LICKING GOOOOOOOD!!!! OMG, OMG, them eyes...that voice,,,o.k. enough.

Anyway,
Final thoughts? I'm looking forward to seeing the BOYS,,,T.K.A. up on that stage....come on boobi's let me here you sing MARIA, AND ALL THEM GOOD OLDIES/OOPS,,, CLASSIC ..hehehe.

Well i was at arena to couldnt stay for the concert but i keep hearing it was great there are 2 interviews up with noel and Johnny O and yes jammin johny is working on getting cynthia and johnny o for a performance.

The place was not too packed, but the energy and excitement level was ceiling level.

The people were responding VERY VERY POSITIVE to the performers.

I think even Jammin Johnny was moist....OOPS...I meant Excited..in a professional/business consultant way....hahaha

2)"Fantasy Girl" cause when i went on my first date 3 yrs ago w/ my girl, i dedicated it to her(i know i'm as smooth as ice)lol...

3)Haven't been to too many show down here in Miami that i can remember...cause i remember alittle when i used to go to hot wheel skating center...I saw all the greats there(to young to enjoy it), i would have to say my fav concert that i've been too is the one thrown at Alcazaba when Coro and Cynthia performed...Remember mike that hour and half before show time when Jammin Johnny lit up the one and twos w/ non stop freestyle...

how are things down there in miami?? i miss it down there(but i love it more over here lol) yo i'm having the best time in NYC. there are sooo many freestyle shows over here. you guys would have loved the ktu freestyle factory show a few weeks ago with tons of our favorite artist like tka,sa-fire,cynthia,rockell,lydia lee love, nayobe,coro,soave,johnny 0,&more,angel from the cover girls, george lamond, joey kid,lil suzy,fascination,judy torres (who recieved her lifetime freestyle achievement award!). it was da bomb!!

also is power 96 playing the sa-fire and cynthia duet song called "can u stand the rain"? that song is a hit on ktu...check it out if u have'n't, it's on the new sa-fire cd.......

yo mike check this out-im working on a freestyle documentary with my friend called "freestyle forever". i already took some footage of tka at their album release and an interview with judy torres. i'm going to feature everyone on it and i would love to get an interview with jammin' johnny so hook me up with his e-mail...keep me inform about his album release concert, cuz u know i'll be there!

my favorite group is TKA
and almost every freestyle song back then brings me memories of chillin with my friends at hot wheels, club 1235/decos, ricks bar.hialeah spring festivals,metro zoo,power beach shows......

i went to mad freestyle shows in miami like the calle ocho power jams or the hialeah spring festivals were always filled with freestyle acts but the one concert that stands out the most to me was the power 96 4th of july beach concert which featured over 20 groups like tka,stevie b, will to power,cynthia,trinere,isis,denise lopez,rikki and the beat,fastforward,trilogy,cover girls, sweet sensation,upfront,expose,erotic exotic,company b,india,midnight fantasy,brenda k starr,information society, pretty poison,sasha and many more...that show was sooo hot.

what's up freestlevet, i haven't heard from you in a while....i can't believe rudy gil is back! secret society were one of my favorite miami acts. how does he look now??

all you miami heads keep calling power and reqesting the new the new jamz from tka and sa-fire........

To answer a couple of your questions.

Yes, power96 has aired the new song of Cinthia and SaFire...ONLY JAMMIN JOHNNY HAS PLAYED IT.

About two Fridays back he was mixing the lunch mix and he aired the song. Then on his "Back to Sunday School" show which aires Every SUNDAY FROM 8 TO 10 AM. He has been in my eyes the sole person pushing for more Freestyle air time. Yes, give credit where credit is due I say, DJ Gregorio does tare up the place at Alcazaba's every Wednesday, but most of the people there are into Salsa which is played indoors. Then DJ ZOG,, my cutie pie,,bless his heart, HE TOO IS PUSHING FOR IT...SO IN REALITY THERE ARE ABOUT 3 DJS AT POWER WHO ARE PUSHING CONSTANTLY FOR THE AIR TIME.

I've been laid back a bit,,you know,,it's the age..30 something...LMAO.,,,but every once in a while I put on my dancing shoes and head out. As far as the release of Jammin's CD, I'M GOING TO THE STORE NEXT TUESDAY TO BE THE FIRST ON MY BLOCK TO HAVE IT...AS JAMMIN TOLD ME...LOL.

It will be another CD added to my collection..I'M GOING TO GET HIM TO SIGN IT FOR ME...IT'S ONLY RIGHT. Sorry for making this so long a message.

My favorite Artist has always been
1. Judy Torres - NO REASON TO CRY, COMEBACK TO MY ARMS, - and I got her to sign her CD when she performed at Casablanca's in Miami Lakes in 1995..🙂

2. Cinthia - ALL OF HER SONGS, but for the longest time now it's been IF I HAD THE CHANCE, AND the duo w/K.L.
