Update: I was informed that all those interested on getting on the guest list must arrive after 12 in order for the artist to receive credit for that guest. Also I want to apologize for stating that those on the guest list will received a reduce discount at the club, I was informed that the admission is the same for everyone guest or not (Sorry guys). The purpose of the guest list is to determine who will be peforming at the copa from the three acts that night. The one with the most guest attended will be the winner from our group. I wish us all luck and my the best man (woman) win, but we all know that we are all winners. Have fun at the copa everyone!

I know Chuck, I was told something along the lines that admission is free up til 12 and after 12 everyone pays but I can't recall who gets in free, if it's the ladies or both.

This is really upsetting, originally I was told by Kenny that those on the guest list would have a reduced admission and they had to show up by a certain time, now that I sent out passes stating such, they change it. Well you know what , they can count our guest or not count our guest, but if thats the only way you can get to open at the copa than, this is a contest to see who can bring people to Remy and not who would be a great opening act for the Copa event.

GUEST LIST OR NOT WE ARE COMING TO NYC TO THE REMY LOUNGE AND WE ARE GOING TO BLAZE THAT SHOW, NU IMAGE STYLE, AS I KNOW CHEREE AND PETER FONTAINE WILL ALSO DO, BECAUSE WE HAVE FANS TO ENTERTAIN....................
 
To be honest, I don't get the whole "after 12" thing. As a club owner, wouldn't you want the people there early, spending money at the bar?
 
Honestly, there were people getting in off of the guest lists the previous Remy show before 12 & I know this because I was there early.

That club is one of the hottest Latin spots in the City so I highly doubt my ass is gonna wait til 12 to squeeze my ass in, push all the way back to coat check, try to find a spot at the bar to get a drink & then get my ass upstairs (performances & VIP area) so credit or no credit, I'll more than likely be there before 12 anyway.

And the guest list shouldn't determine performance. Talent should.

I believe you Dayer and your right, the winner should be based on talent and not on how many fans, friends and family members will pay to see you. But I was told that because at the last show people on the guest list were showing up early when admission was free that this show is being done differently? I was instructed to tell my guest to arrive after 12 or it won't count towards my guest tally. To be quite frank about this, hell with the guest list. If you want to see me perform or any of the other artist just show up. Maybe if they see we didn't create a guest list but rather had everyone who wanted to see us just show up then they will be forced to decide based on performance and not on guestlist. That's just my opinion. I'm not competing, I'm just performing to have a great time with my fans and friends. So have fun at the copa everyone, I'll be home chilling with my daughters that are coming up from Florida.

Tony and Dayer are on the money. In my own words, this kind of crap only happens in Freestyle. :angered Remy is a banging club and the performers will go there to have a good time and put on a show. Hopefully the usual Remy crowd can enjoy and feel the show. The Remy show is a great idea but it shows like the Copa one that I'm staying away from. I have still yet to see a show at the Copa where all the covers are new school.

It's a good thing this isn't hip-hop cause then the artists would be trying to kill each other!!! LMAO
 
To all the people we have emailed a guest list pass to, we do apologize for all this last minute confusion. I spoke to Kenny Guido today and it is what it is. People showing up before 12 mid will not be counted on the artists guest list. So if you want to have a good time and hang out get there by 12 mid , if you want to pay $10.00 at the door and show your support for Nu Image and catch a Newchool artist represent at the Copa then get there at 12:01. Don't let a $10.00 cover scare you from supporting what you love.
We ask that everyone originally on our guest list go out and still support Nu Image.
As you know the club did not promote the first Remy event and they didn't promote this one for May 27th. I decided to design a flyer with all the artists that were scheduled to perform, why because I wanted to see a great turnout.
I just spoke to Tyree and Vic and we are going to give you guys a great show and mew music will be premired, bring you camcorders for sure.
We will also have our Nu Image albums for sale and we will be signing pics all night.
Once again I don't agree with the way this show is deciding who goes to the Copa but if you want to see Nu Image @ the Copa represent at The Remy and don't let that $10.00 cover scare away your support, our show will definately be worth every penny.
 
One other thing I am flying in from Tampa, and I booked my own flight to come down for this show $296.80. Why because all of our supportors are worth it. From everyone who has ever been to a Nu Image show to every fan that has purchased a Nu Image album , single, poster, t shirt etc.
I know Nu Image has a following and I just want that to show come May 27th at the Remy Lounge.
I want to prove a point that the new music can have a loyal following and that a $10.00 cover is not going to change that. We have not performed in NYC since Dec 18th 2004 and probably won't be doing another NYC show until we begin street date release promotion for the New Nu Image Album.
So if you missed our last NY appearance don't missed this one. I hope to see a mass show of support for this show.
