just gettin ready to go work at old navy again tonight. got me thinking about first jobs (since i guess this would be mine),


what was the first job you ever had? curious to see how everyone got started off.

Ha Ha, My first real job is at KFC/Taco Bell/Pizza up in the craziest ghetto in San Franphyscho " Hunters Points". I started off as a cook and advanced to a cashier, back then minimum wage was $4.25, and we got robbed 2 times LOL

my first job was at a pharmacy in the Boogie down Bronx. They had me working on the Lotto section...so many crackheads had the dreams,but never the damn dollar!!!! I was 15 then...

My first job was cleaning a Dr office with my grandma. I was only 12 but I was making the bucks. I got paid 200 dollars evey week. Plus, free Dr visits. That was back in 87.

my first job was newpaper girl (new york daily news)at 9 years old. my dad will wake me up at 6am every sunday. that lasted only 3 months

ironically- I work at another movie theater co- but I hold a higher position

My 1st Job was as a Telamarketer, we were pushing those water purifiers you attatch to your kitchen sink......bet you didnt know those have been around since 1996. After that it was fast food and super markets until I learned to Drive a Fork Lift....Then Jobs became better.

Dishwasher at a golf club. I was 16.
The work sucked. The pay sucked ($5.25 per hr). But the free meals were pretty good.

I was 16. Stayed there until I graduated high school and then started in my present field which is accounting. Making MUCH more money now! :stoned

1987-89 My aunts video store on 158th n' Broadway (uptown side) watched all the movies fo-free & played video games with their quarters on their time & got paid ....lol !!!!

Worked in the produce dept of a grocery store...I actually still work at that grocery store part time (a couple times a month) but in the floral dept now...extra money...pays the cel phone bill lol

My first job was earlier this year... i was those annoying ppl tryin to sell perfume off the street. IT SUCKED!! i quit about 3 days later. Word of advice. Dont sell shit on the streets. People gonna reject u mas rapido que corriendo.

Cocktail hostess for a catering hall at the age of 14. They had no business getting minors to serve people their drinks being that under aged but, they wanted to hire high school kids for less pay so they didn't care.
