My daughter and my son are some happy campers now! Toby (Yorkie Puppy) has been purchased. He's home now after being in the Puppy Boutique for 3 hrs. That place was packed. Whew! I'm exhausted. 😀

Congrats on the new addition to the family! :yeey

Well my daughter didn't go to school today either because Toby had her up barking and growling until 4:30am. I warned her this would happen. She picked him up and put him on her bed. I told her "bad habit" already.

Any advice?

Ohhhhh yes it's a bad habit. She's got to learn to ignore him otherwise he's gonna become a permanent fixture in her bed.

On the good side though...he's not gonna weigh in at 90lbs like mine does! :lol

When we first got my Maltese, they told us to crate her. Wll, she carried on like crazy in the crate so eventually my parents took her in their bed and she never left after that. If your daughter doesnt mind having the dog in her bed, then its fine. But he will want to stay there. Try getting him his own little dog bed.

:lol Krystal you are so funny. But permanent fixture is so right. I never allowed my rottie on my bed. I don't care. My bed is my bed! LMAO Well this is the beginning to many more sleepless nights and come Monday, I don't want to hear it. She's going to school looking like a Zombie with an hour sleep for all I care.

A little doggy bed is a great idea. I'm writing that on my list now. 🙂

Congrats on the new Puppy!!! 🙂
Can't wait till my mom in laws dog
has her pups...!

Congrats...so how old is the little guy...

You have to ignore them at night...I did and after about 2 days I think Niko got the point and now he actually likes sleeping in his cage...it's all about forming habits with them...it's the sleeping and the washroom teaching that's the hardest...try setting up a routine...that's what I did and Niko was "potty trained" to go outside in about a week and he had only a few accidents inside

also don't get him in the habit of eating "human food" otherwise your dog will be a permanent whining fixture by the dinner table...trust me I know my dad got Niko into that habit and it's horrible no one can eat in peace anymore

Good Luck but you are gonna have so much fun with the little guy...petsmart is really good for picking up there things too
