There have always been diets and diet books out on the market.

I've tried a few myself.

I have found one that works for me, adn may work for you! It's called the "Fat Smash" diet and was writen by Dr. Ian Smith. If you have seen the TV Show "Celebrity Fit Club" then you know Dr. Ian Smith, he's on the panel of judges.

The diet is pretty straight forward, and I've been on it for about a month. In this first month, I've lost 18 pounds total, going from 233 to 215 (as of today).

Congratulations, Chuck! You're doing awesome! Do you have time to incorporate any cardiovascular activity into your day? If you could start off doing 20 minutes of cardio first thing in the morning before consuming any calories, you'll burn a lot of fat - fast...

Thanks Sal,

What I'm doing is 15 minutes of cardio in the morning, a half hour slow walk after lunch to the branch of the bank I work for (turns out to be two miles).

Eliptical machine at the gym after work for about 45 minutes, and then finally a half hour to hour long workout at night after dinner.

Sounds like you're doing a lot, Chuck! Just make sure that cardio comes before any calories in the morning. And as you can, increase it up to about 40 minutes or so.. The morning is the best time to burn fat, hands down.. It takes 20-30 minutes to burn calories in the evening before you can start burning fat...

yes, it does!

I just increased my workout time today.

I went from 15 to 20 minutes in the morning, and from 35 to 45 after work.

Good. That's the trick at first.. Keep fooling your body as it gets used to what you're doing. That's why I don't like hearing people go ALL OUT in the beginning. Your body gets used to the punishment you're giving it and then you have nowhere else to go...
