falter/stamer/waver

Hi, I'm becoming a computer-dj but I'm just learning. I use lot of different software and actually I'm doing well. The only thing I can't figure out is how I should do that trick like for example this: "free-free-free-styler" ... I think they call it a "delay" (yeah sorry dudes, I don't speak english fluently)... hmm, but I don't wonna just slow down the music I like the make it sound like the cd (or LP, whatever) is faltering/ stamering / wavering ...
some kind of hitch...
You know... you dj's do it al the time!

Maybe if you have some experience with software like CoolEdit or CakeWalk or something, you can give me some advice...

Maybe a DirectX plug-in?

Well I DJ too...but I don't use drops or programs but I can tell that normal DJing, unless you're a stratch master, that's nearly impossible...You could prolly use a prog to edit it like that.
