is this song freestyle? the first time i heard this song i thought huh?, the second time i thought ok, it's too slow.. the third time i think got me hooked. is it freestyle or is it too R&B-ish?

its not freestyle because.....well......can you dance to it in the same fashion as TKA'S "ONE WAY LOVE" or SA-FIRE'S "LET ME BE THE ONE"?

To me, if you can't "DANCE" to it, it AINT FREESTYLE!!!

(you can "slow dance" to LET ME BE THE ONE. however!!)
 
My two cents.......midtempo freestyle.

To me, a ballad is: Timmy T. "One More Try", Angelica "Angel Baby".

Midtempo freestyle: Expose` "Let Me Be The One", TKA "Louder Than Love", Sandee` "Love Desire".

Just my opinion...
 
This song is really a Freestyle song.The BPM and beats equal Freestyle songs like Planet Soul "Set U Free" Lina Santiago "Do You Miss Me" George Lamond "More Than Words Can Say" etc have the same speed and this songs sound and style is too fast to be ballad and too loud and fast to even be r&b unless you want to call it 80's r&B like New Edition "If It Isn't Love" Bobby Brown "Don't Be Cruel" Jody Watley "Don't You Want Me" and AL B Sure "Misunderstanding" which were all the same as Freestyle.If you consider TKA "Louder Than Love" freestyle than you must consider this a Freestyle song aswell.Always,P-1 🙂

Interesting...... but you might dance to Joyce Sims "All & All" alot different than you'd dance to Rockell "Can't we try" and those are both 100% freestyle....... 🙂
