From what I understand (but I could be wrong) Ann, Jeanette, and Kelly (Gioia's replacement) had bought the rights to the name Expose` and are attempting to do shows now. I could be wrong.

I know that Gioia was at LQ's, and she perfromed Expose` songs, but billed herself as Gioia, NOT Expose`.

Shows how much I wanted to see the group back in the day (EITHER lineup, Gioia OR Kelly) -- hockey NUT that I am, I was going to give up a GAME SEVEN for the trip! 😱

Any word as to an expected on-stage time?
I may be making the trip regardless, if things work out for once:
If its a late enough start, and if I can get out of work a little early that day...

This Is Not Expose', I Repeat,not Expose'......I Will Be Working With Gioia That Night At The Culture Club.....people Should Check Their Facts Before Posting And Still Having People Ask Them To Check It And Keep Coming Back With The Wrong Info, This Is The 2nd Time That Scott Almost Drove From Rochester To See Expose', When In Fact It Was Not Them. That's what I figured, especially after the no-help-whatsoever reply to an email I sent the club :rolleyes

I was just curious, who from the group's "alumni" is going to be there? I know Ann, Jeanette, and Kelly regrouped last year and did a few shows, however another club recently had Gioia perform there SOLO, but the club's promoters made it sound like it would be the GROUP, to lure in more ticket sales...

No accusations, just double-checking -- I MAY be making the road trip from Rochester(!) and carrying ONE full-sized album to TRY to get signed is a lot easier than carrying TWO around... 😉 (since Gioia was with them for two, and Kelly just appears on one...)

Almost reads as if they're being deliberately vague -- "1" could refer to Gioia solo, but on the other hand, "or 2" could mean Jeanette/Ann or Jeanette/Kelly...

I dunno, I might go anyway, since she was one of the 3 or 4 I was most looking forward to at LQ before I had to scrap that trip...we'll see what happens with work, and (assuming I learn in time) her scheduled on-stage time...

(worst-case scenario at work: I'm stuck there until 6PM, which would most likely have me arriving between 12:30-1)

Well that stinks.

It must make it difficult for Gioia trying to make a name for herself, when a club bills her as "Expose`"....

Scott, I saw Gioia perfrom at LQ's and take it from me, she puts on a great show.

Just got back from Culture Club....it was a great night.

They played all 80's dance music......Madonna, Sheila E., New Order, Depeche Mode, Judy Torres, Sweet Sensation, TKA, Marshall Jones, Debbie Gibson, Maurice......people were screaming for the music.

Gioia hit the stage with two male dancers, and did a 5 song set. She sang:

Come Go With Me
I Was Made For Lovin' You (Kiss remake off her new album)
Let Me Be The One
Be Mine (next single off her new album)
Point Of No Return

She was all over that stage, dancing and singing her butt off.

Definitly recommend seeing her, and I wish her luck with her new material!
