I just saw Elton John on the news and he said that the voters on American Idol are racist and thats why Jennifer Hudson got voted off last week and why the other 2 black girls were in the bottom 3. I think that is such a stupid and disgusting comment. First of all, George Huff is black and he was not in the bottom. Ruben Studdard won last yr and he is black! I dont know why those 3 girls ended up in the bottom but to say that it had to do with racism is unbelievably stupid. A comment like that will only insight more racism. Get a clue Elton John!!

I agree with you Chuck! And I have to give a thumbs up to Simon Cowell for telling John Stevns last night that he should not feel guilty for still being in the competition. The media has had a field day making fun of John since Jennifer got kicked off last week...like its his fault!! There has been a lot worse people in previous Top 12s than John! Leave the kid alone!

Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I dont think John sucks. He has a pleasant voice that just needs more training. And its still no reason for the media to make a fool out of him. Honestly, Im not overly thrilled with any contestant this yr. Clay, Ruben, and Kimberly Locke were all better than any of these contestants!

John doesnt suck, he is just average, but still very good for a 16 year old kid. I also liked the fact that Simon let him know none of this is his fault. I swear I will go crazy if that kid doesnt get knocked off tonite. Unfortunately, I dont think he is, I think he will be around next week. I think Jasmine will get eliminated tonite. She started off so good, but on those high notes, oooof!! That was embarrasing. I think it is going to be her unfortunately.
Speaking of Kimberly Locke(Freestygal), has everyone heard her new song, I really like it!
 
my neighbor (the one who used to play for the NY YANKEES) used to be ELTON JOHN'S BODY GUARD in the early 80's.

Elton John kicks ass....I wouldn't doubt with A.I. c'mon, if u were watching since day one of this season u'll agree somewhat. Why the hell is that red head guy that reminds me of one of the guys from Happy Days, still there? The dude is tone deaf and boring. yet he's there. Jennifer was good she deserved to be there atleast a bit longer. Anyway, I stopped watching that show b/c I simply got bored of it...I get a kick out of Simon. oh, and Paula Abdul is still fine...

But Elton John is a good singer. He puts on a good show(I don't know about now) But he and Billy Joel put up a great show back in the day and recently!

Well now u can all relax because John Stevens was voted off tonight. And you know what? I hope someone decides to work with him and give him a break. The guy has a distinct, old fashioned voice, that with time and work could be wonderful. America voted him into the competition for a reason and even Simon was a fan of his. Tone deaf? I think not. I was personally praying that Fantasia would be voted off tonight. I think she is awful and pompous. I agree with Lamondfan about Jasmine...she started off good and fell down...same thing with George Huff. I hope either Latoya or Diana wins because they are the only 2 decent singers left...and even they dont hold a candle to Clay Aiken or Kim Locke.

I agree thats bull racism please its acontest if they cant handle being kicked off then they shouldnt apply for american idol they are little cry babies and cant handle rejection and for that thats a turn off from elton it doesnt matter black white yellow green its a contest and thats it they voted who they wanted off like tonite john was kicked off what are they gonna say now. :lol
 
I agree Randi, John Stevens wasnt horrible, I do think he has potential, just that Jennifer Hudson was better than him and deserved to stay over him. But, because America votes, it is more of a popularity contest. Remember the first season with tht girl Nicki? She lasted longer than Tamyra. But look how well things worked out for her, she is all over the place. And I definately agree that no one this season particularily "WOWs" me. I really liked George Huff in the beginning, but he hasnt been too good lately. I am voting for Latoya. I like her voice the best out of who is left.

Lamond Fan, you are right. Nikki McKibbin stayed a week longer than Latoya but we never see her. Last I hear she was working for a karoake company lol Sometimes it doesnt matter if they win or not because they could go far in the long run...like Clay. As for this year, only 1 person can win so they all have to prepare themselves to go each week. At first I thought George had a good chance of winning but not anymore. Im starting to think that Diana could win because she could be a good pop singer...somewhat on the order of Kelly Clarkson. But out of all of them, Latoya is definitely the best.

And 1 other thing..maybe they should do awaywith the guest judges and themes. As much as I like Gloria Estefasn and her music, I dont know how good it was for them to sing. George singing "Live For Loving You" was a disaster! I think the first season was great when they didnt have guest judges and they just did a different theme each week...like music from the 60s and 70s and big band music.

Hey, the kid do not deserve death threats. But the fact is, he is not that good of a singer. Last night, the voters finally made the right decision. hey, george Huff is not going to be the next Usher. But, he is OK. I'm not gonna go along with Fantashia being Arrogant. hey, Kelly Clarkson gave off vibes of being pompous, not much was said about that. Hey, The ladies are confident, nothing wrong with that!!
 
american idol is bs anyway. its fixed and the winners really dont go anywhere. i mean kelly clrakson doesnt have a big record eal and the movie stunk.
