Hey Egyptian lover was one of the creators of the hip hop scene in California in 1982, together with his crew Uncle Sams army...far away from NY and Miami....in 1984 he made his first solo 12" - "Egypt, egypt" an electro hip hop tune...The B-side of this 12" is awfull with the track "What is a dj if he can't scratch"...LOL...but okey he continued in the 80's and 90's to make west coast hip hop, and created his own label "Egyptian empire"...with rap acts such as Rodney O & Joe Cooley...

My favorite 12"/tune by Egyptian lover is still "Girls" from 1985...it's very cool electro and can keep the breakdancers on the floor...😉
