Hi Ed:

This is the info I got on him.

One of the most innovative producers of the old-school/electro era, Egyptian Lover's Greg Broussard recorded a parade of singles during the mid-'80s that proved influential for decades.

Influenced himself by Kraftwerk/hip-hop soundclashes like Afrika Bambaataa's "Planet Rock" and Man Parrish's "Hip-Hop Be Bop (Don't Stop)," as well as the extroverted black-lover soul of Prince and Zapp, Broussard began recording from his Los Angeles base in 1983.

One year later, he emerged with the breakdancing anthem "Egypt, Egypt," released on the Freak Beat label. Similar to excellent tracks being produced all over America -- from Detroit (Cybotron) to New York (Mantronix) -- "Egypt, Egypt" and successors "What Is a DJ If He Can't Scratch," "And My Beat Goes Boom," and "Computer Love (Sweet Dreams)" spent much time in DJ crates during the '80s and '90s.

Broussard also released several LPs during the mid-'80s, including 1984's On the Nile (practically a greatest-hits compilation), 1986's One Track Mind, and 1988's Filthy; the first two appeared on his own Egyptian Empire label. After several years away from music, he returned in 1994 with Back From the Tomb and the following year's Pyramix.

Hope this Helps.

I can truly say that I've NEVER heard of this person/group in my life.

LOL Carlito's! They are electro sounding as others said but their stuff is good! 😉

Around the time he came out with Egypt Egypt , he was part of a group called Uncle Jam's Army. They had a produced / released a song called Dial-A-Freak.

He also did some Producing for Rodney-O and Joe Cooley. "The songs were called Your Chance to Rock" and "These are My Beats" under his Egptian Empire Records.

He was part of the West Coast Boom of Electro Funk. This is when Dr. Dre was part of the World Class Wreck'in Crew. There was also another Artist called Unknown DJ, that had a few hits, The Big one was called, Let's Jam.
There was a bunch more, but I need to dust the cobwebs from my brain to remember them =)

I just have to say, that the song "Egypt,Egypt" is one of the BEST roller skating songs EVER!!!! Now you dont have to feel weird. I also like "Electric Kingdom", 80's Electro is the best!

The Egyptian Lover is great.

Even if you don't don't know his music by name, you are no doubt familiar with the classic keyboard riff from "EGYPT, EGYPT". It is just as famous as the break from "ELECTRIC KINGDOM" by Twilight 22.

Both are often featured in Planet Rock/Electro/Freestyle mega-mixes.
