Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
Yesterday, I gave blood at the donor clinic. I try to donate as regularly as possible. I'd like to encourage everyone to also become a blood donor cause you never know when it can save a life. And the blood banks need donations the most at times like these during the holidays when people partake in a little more alcohol than normal because of holiday cheer.
#1 Donating blood is giving of yourself in order to help some one live
#2 It feels good to do good and give the gift of life.
#3 It's healthy to donate blood, especially for men. When you donate blood your body has to replenish the blood that was lost. SO you get cleaner, more fresh blood as well as releasing excess from your blood stream such as iron. This is especially important for males as most females bleed on a regular basis, whereas unless a man has been cut he does not and hence loses the holistic quality of blood loss and regeneration.
#4 One day you or someone you love might need the favour of a blood donation returned.
While we are giving thanks and getting ready for the Christmas season and celebrating Hannukah and Rammadan, let's do what we can to give others reasons to be happy thankful and celebrate the season also.😀
