now here's a pic of on the beach. (though if you were there you'd notice the interesting number of topless european women and the sad nauseating sight of their speedo-donning hubbies)
ant - thanks as well. btw i waited like 10min after the 2nd pic and it still didnt work. i'll just wait till jack finishes working to fix cf and i'll put more maybe.
o thanx myonlysweetie.
the hotel was grand paradise bavaro. how about u? was the trip good? hope the weather cooperated in july because we had a thunderstorm almost every day and one day we got a tropical storm-ish thing.
heres a third pic. i was on this robot-like horse on a mildly boring half-hour ride. i could have sworn the thing was on a fixed metal track besides it didnt respond to any direction from a rider whatsoever. 🙂
kool....i went to punta cana in 2002 and stayed at the iberostar dominicana...great resort and that place is awesome...highly recommend going there if you get a chance peeps....
oh shitttttt tran let me find out u turnin dominican lol :lol wow a chinito in punta cana haha.....well theres alot of asian peeps that live there and also go there for vacations just like the europeans too but um tran by any chance did u get to talk our slang in spanish? u got to talk with any dominicanitas? let me find out u got some digits on the downlow lmao
u know it makes me feel good inside when u see ppl from different parts of the world say somethin good about D.R cuz u know they been there themselves to experience it and punta cana is one of the most famous spots thats very touristic where u see ppl from all over and by the way tran the pics came out slammin....hehe of course is D.R :biggrin u know?
and i dont wanna brag about dominican republic simply bcuz im dominican myself but is true, is like how our ancestors use to say once u go there u dont wanna leave, in D.R u see a whole new view on things, on life, our ppl, our culture, our food and music everything u can imagine and when u visit u will recieve our hospitality where u always welcome with open arms and u can see in the ppl's faces how they got to like D.R so much
and tran im glad u had a good time i hope someday in the future u can go back and return the visit and who knows maybe we can meet up there someday u know? or even better we can some of the cfer's go too so we all can have a blast
veronica - you kidding me? LOL wow talk about a coincidence 😀 thats good the weather was mad hot, when we went i dont think the temperature even hit 90. how did u like the food? did it get on your nerves after a while?
al - WHOA slow down and take a breath there! :lol i didnt catch up on any of that dominican slang, too bad.. but it was still cool, i was really surprised by how many black people i noticed living there. ya i really did enjoy the DR and i didnt know any asians lived there too (you wouldn't believe how many times those market-vendors called me "jackie chan" just because of my skin tone LOL). as for multicultural tourists i guess there is a variety there, im surprised the locals can manage to speak so many languages on behalf of the tourists (which is very good of them). and ya i didnt want to leave either, i'd die to go back but partly because i had to go to school 2 days after we returned to canada! ya the dominicans are so nice, i went on one of those sugarcane-plantation tours and all those farmers kept waving at us with smiles on their faces.
maybe next time i go i'll take mario's advice & stay @ the iberostar, i stopped in front of it and it's 1 hell of a resort.
