Does Freestyle exist in Ottawa?!?

If it does can someone tell me where? Cuz I'm sick of hearing the same hiphop and reggae shit at all the clubs here. They don't even play dance here......(a bit of house and techno here and there) but none of the good oldschool stuff......its pretty sad!

I've been to Ottawa a few times and I know a lot of people there but I havn't heard anything about Freestyle there.
But don't worry it's the same $hit in Montreal for the past couple of years.

Are you sure about that, maybe you're not looking hard enough.......I've heard a lot of stuff about Montreal and their dance and freestyle scene. From what I've heard its not too bad, its not as good as Toronto, but its a hell-of-a-lot better than Ottawa. I was at 737 some time last year and I heard a couple of half descent dance songs and I think I heard some Stevie B too. I'm sure there's some dance/freestyle clubs there......just ask around....

Oh yah there are
Most of the popular clubs in Mtl play freestyle but just not enough.
I'm palnning a freestyle event in the city soon I'll keep you posted.
Oh and next time you're in the city go to "Extrems" or "Vatican" if you wanna hear Freestyle avoid The french hangouts.

Freestyle in Ottawa

Well....errr...uhh.....I never visited any Ottawa clubs (last time was some 10 years ago, and I was only 17, but that doesn't say much), but the one artist that comes to mind is Emjay (did/do they ever play her stuff in the hometown?), who mostly performed dance, but had a couple of freestyle tracks - "Be My Man" and a remake of "Point of No Return". When her songs were popular, they got a lot of play in Toronto clubs (the days when clubs like Venus and LA Hollywood were still in existence).

Just a tidbit of info.
