Who is going 2 c the movie?
i'm a big fan of Dirty Dancing, and i'm very scared that they r going 2 mess it up
the trailer looks ok, but i know it's not going 2 b anything like the frist
but i'm still going 2 check it out :1popcorn

I am a fan of the first dirty dancing and I too believe they are going to mess it up and hey since you are going to see it you can tell me how it went. I'll just wait till it comes out on Dvd. BUT TELL ME so incase it was good I might not wait.

I dont think it could hold a candle to the first one. There had been talk of a sequal for many years and I think they waited way too long. This movie is supposed to be a prequel as opposed to a sequal. I would have mcuh prefered it with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in it again instead of 2 unknowns. Maybe it's a cute movie but I think I'll wait for it to come on cable.

Reminds me of Save The Last Dance, Honey, and the shit load of other films that dealt with dancing and music in the last few years. Only difference is, it's Latin-based.

And the soundtrack? Why aren't the majority of the artists' of Latin decent? India, Marc, Brenda, Thalia, Fat Joe, Ricky....what happened here?

What does Mya know about being Latin?

Just another way to make big bucks, I guess.

In any case, they won't be getting my $10!

I agree...at least if they had a decent soundtrack...something along the lines of the "Dance With Me" soundtrack would have been better!
