I heard on Fox news last night that Kelly clarkson is a fraud! I guess she had a record deal already before the American Idiol audition.
They also said that Kelly is not available for comment neither the producers..Could this be true??? I still think Kelly Clarkson has a AMaZING voice and she should still record her album..what do you think??😀

I got an email on it yesterday. that's a shame.

I was just readin about that before. Heres the article:

By MICHAEL STARR

KELLY Clarkson may not be the doe-eyed amateur she appeared to be when she won "American Idol" last summer.

Clarkson may have already had a recording contract - and was in the middle of making a record for someone else - when she showed up to audition for the show, Star magazine is reporting.

If true, that means Clarkson may have violated the show's rule about being an amateur with no prior professional singing experience.

According to Star, Clarkson - who got a $1 million recording contract that spawned her No. 1 song "A Moment Like This" when she won the talent show - was already recording an album with three producers (including Carole King (news)'s ex-husband, Gerry Goffin) before appearing on the show.

"She knew what she was doing, but it's coming back to haunt her in a big, big way," a source tells Star. "She's trying to make herself out as this innocent American sweetheart - now it's coming out she's a phony and a liar."

According to the show's rules, contestants had to be complete amateurs and each of them signed releases stating they had never recorded anything.

Noted songwriters Michael Blum, Barry Goldberg and Goffin now claim they had Clarkson under contract a month before the "Idol" auditions began, the magazine says.

"She signed a production agreement with us in early March to record a full slate of 12 songs for an album, but after doing five wonderful songs, she walked out," Goldberg tells Star.

"The next time I saw her was on TV a couple of months later competing on ‘American Idol.' It came as quite a shock."

Blum, Goldberg and Goffin have hired hotshot Hollywood lawyer Jay Cooper in an effort to get three of the songs released.

Officials for Fox and 19 Productions, the management company behind "American Idol," declined to comment yesterday on the allegations.

Clarkson, a 20-year-old cocktail waitress from Texas, beat out Justin Guarini to snare the "American Idol" crown and signed a two-year deal with 19 Entertainment.

Her shot to the top of the Billboard charts in record time, and she'll star in the "Idol" movie, "From Justin to Kelly," which begins filming next month.

i KNEW IT!!

I always thought she was shady anyway!!! Damn, I wish I could have wrote a colomn on this!! I would have had a field day trashing her a$$:blah

If it's true she had a signed deal already in progress
she should've just gone with that! She has her talent.
That's all she needed! The whole Idol thing must've
been more appealing to her because it was a sure thing
and on primetime TV, but that's not what it's
all about! she should've known better! Now this can
be over just as it started! Had she gone with her other
deal, she may have still been on the road to success!

Okay, okay this is some bad news for Kelly, but.... we don't know her side of the story. There may have been alittle ignorance involved. Or she may have lied. In the end when it came to the whole American Idol thing the Best Singer won!! Kelly had the best voice and she is an amazing voice talent!! I would still pick her. I'm not saying this out of being a fan. She was the best talent in the competition. Nuff said!!

I think that the whole thing is disgusting, because as soon as someone becomes famous, right away all these rumors come out. I think Kelly has an incredible talent and I really dont care either way...she deserved to win American Idol and she deserves a record contract...much more so than a lot of so-called "singers" that are out there. I wont believe any of it until I hear the FACTS!!! And u know what?? VH1 did an episode of Driven on Kelly and I could swear it mentioned that she had a few offers before American Idol. Noone said anything about that!!! I wouldnt be surprised if those record producers are just trying to make some money off of Kelly. So until u hear the the truth, dont believe the hype!!! Oh, and by the way, I was listening to Z100 today and someone called in to say that Kelly was one of the best acts at Jingle Ball last night!

If its true, it won't be the first or the last!

She went for what she wanted and got it!
Kelly is talented Period! Much success to her!
She may still Make it!

Kelly's talent isnt a fraud...she won American Idol because of it! You cant compare her to Milli Vamilly who lip synched. The girl can sing and that's that! If she had some kind of contract pending before Idol, thats something else...and noone knows the truth yet. But it definitely doesnt take away from her talent.

Ok I must be tired because I wrote Mill Vamilly...lmaooooo...I meant Milli Vanilli, of course loll

I just found this on Yahoo News.

-- American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is receiving support from the Fox Television Network in the wake of allegations in a tabloid report claiming that she was ineligible for the program and that she misled the show's producers. The report appears in Star magazine.

A story in Thursday's (December 12) edition of the New York Post stated that Clarkson "may have already had a recording contract--and was in the middle of making a record for someone else--when she showed up to audition for the show."

According to Star, Clarkson was under contract a month before the TV competition auditions began, recording an album with three producers, including Barry Goldberg, Michael Blum, and Gerry Goffin, who is singer Carole King's ex-husband and ex-songwriting partner. Goldberg told the tabloid that Clarkson had signed a production agreement in early March to record a dozen songs, but walked out after recording only five.

Fox; FremantleMedia, which produces American Idol for Fox; and 19 Entertainment, which is run by the show's executive producer Simon Fuller, issued a collective statement on the singer's behalf that reads: "Kelly Clarkson is not a 'liar' (or) a 'cheat.' She did not breach any rules of the competition. She won the American Idol competition fairly and was rightfully chosen by the American public as their American Idol."

Texan Clarkson received a $1 million recording contract with RCA as the American Idol winner and subsequently hit Number One with her single, "A Moment Like This."

The New York Post is owned by News Corp., the same company that owns Fox.
