Debbie Harry is simply......truly......undoubtedly an amazing performer!
Last night I went to the Blondie concert @ the Avalon nightclub here in Boston and it was awesome. She did close to a 2 hour set, which covered the majority of her early hits such as "Heart Of Glass", "The Tide Is High", "Call Me" and closed the show with "Rapture". For being in her mid- 50's, not too mention the band, she definitely still has what it takes to sell-out venues. It was a funky crowd....punk heads, Gay circuit boys, and the girls that love us. 🙂 Anyway, she worked that stage as if she was a drag queen performing for the last time. Truly amazing. I definitely recommend seeing Blondie live....I felt like I was part of that whole CBGB's, punk rock era.....
I still can't believe that she borrowed Rap, which was just making it's debut back in the late 70's and early 80's, and used that shit in "Rapture" and just took it to another level.
Anyhow, has anyone seen her live?
