i know i've been rude
but you still keeped it true
you always keep it smooth
never lost your cool
always stayed with me through and through
when i need something i always came to you
with open arms you gave what you had
you didn't have much to give
but to me that was enough for me to live
you never had much money
but when you gave me pennies
it was more then plenty
i was glad if i recieved anything
all of my childhood memories
are filled with all the sweet things you did for me
you always keeped me at ease
i know sometimes i act crazy
but i have to thank you for giving life to me
throughout my schizo drama
i can always depend on my momma
i remember growing up being poor
a family on welfare
tell me how we made it
how much did you give
i wish i could take all the pain away
i hate seeing you in a craze
coming home after working late
but you always fixed me a hot plate
there is no one in this world who can take my momma's place
i'm happy everytime i see your loving face
giving me love was never a case
you kept giving even when i was hatin'
your love was never fakin'
i thank the stars up above for your motherin'
there are not enough words to describe how i feel
i just wanna be like my momma and keep it real
i know it's not easy
but making it better is my hobby
i always want to see you happy
soo please don't feel sappy
i know i can't ever pay you back
but my plan is to show you that i understand
