😱 Ah, The Cynthia/Safire Duet, I Missed It The 1st Time And Ive Been Wantin To Hear This Song Because Of Peoples Reaction.. It Sounded Alright Its Gonna Take A Couple Of More Plays For Me To Decide If I Really Like This Song, But It Sounded Alright The Only Thing That I Dont Like About The Song Is That Its A Remake And Not ORIGNAL Material, It Wouldve Been Nicer If It Wasnt A Remake, I Hate Remakes..... 😡
 
omg I looooooved it!! I was scared to hear it at first because I heard so many mixed reviews but it was off da chain..and it doesn not sound like a sosodef bass allstars reject!😛 even if it did..I love those cd's😎
 
I thought Sa-Fire sounded great when she was singing along to one of my all time fave songs...Boy I've Been Told!!!! It was great hearing her and Cynthia last night! And personally, I love Can You Stand The Rain!!

I personaly think the song is beautiful. It has a soft rythm to it, it sounds all peaceful. And last night, Judy, Cynthia, Safire, and Ceazar got me rollin! Damn, I love freestyle
 
it was a fun show last night - and when ANGEL from the COVER GIRLS called in, i felt like it was like a pajama party.

freestyle is a small but tight community, and it should be like that.

i would like to hear more callers & a little less music (at least for this occasion)

The duet is really nice, kinda mellow.

I heard so many mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. Thought it was very radio friendly, and hope ktu adds it 🙄 (Dare To Dream)🙄

I don't know why there was flak about this song. I thought it fit into the freestyle genre easily.
 
The Safire and Cyntha duet "Can you stand the rain" is an awesome Latino dance music song and by far my favorite song of the year!The rythm is hot passionate,soulful with a funky mellow beat to it!This is the best song released this year!KTU should play it every hour on the hour!I can't wait get my hands on a copy of that HUGE hit!Safire and Cynthia are trully the queens of freestyle and the greatest female music artists of alltime!I think when people ask where is he Latin esscence they should realize that there are many types of Latino dance music and the new songs by George Lamond,Cynthia and Safire all have that hot Latin rythm weather the beat is Latin freestyle,Latin hiphop,flamenco,salsa,merengue or Latin pop it has that Latin tinge.I think it's good to see that freestyle can be pure Latin freestyle,salsa freestlye,merengue house freestyle,hiphop freestyle,flamanco tinged freestyle etc.I think freestyle is unlimited both musically and artistically with what you can do with it but we shouldn't classify this new song instead we should just accept that Safire and Cynthia's hit is a great dance music song and that it's a great song period!I think that is what TKA was trying to say however I think TKA failed to prove that with the new song they have out now by trying not be freestyle while Safire and Cynthia just went out there and made great music and proved just how great there music truly is and that's the only way this song truly should be classified as great music!GOD Bless,Omar 🙂

great! this time only positive feedback!

tha song is great and unique. to me, they didn't just remake tha song. they brought a whole new sound to it by making it freestyle and also by both 2 females doing this song that was originally by 5 males. it put a whole different spin on it!
i luv tha dramatic, laid-back feeling it has while still keeping that hot freestyle thump! very radio friendly too. maybe this will be tha next national freestyle hit!

whattabout some of u guys that heard it and didnt like it tha first time? any changes since you've heard it again?
 
i heard it on the cab on the way to a club on sunday and it was great! it was the second time i heard it and i loved it.....i cant wait for it's release. i missed the interview with them though, what did they say??? give me details..... those girls are my favorite! when is the release date?? by the way is this going to be an album cut or an acutall single?

i am still waiting to hear that song...even though it is a remake but a lot of u guys say it is good so i am waiting...i wanted to hear it judy said she was going ot play it...but i had to go somewhere...when i was driving though cythina safire and judy were chillin...then came angel fromthe cover girls...they seemed like they were having a good time...has anyone recorded can u stand the rain yet???? or somethign i need to hear it...even if its just over the phone, LMAO

Safire was pretty much plugging the new cd, due out on august 21 -2001. the song will be featured on this new cd. Her production team are working on several different mixes, i believe it will be released as a single.

Im hoping radio will support the song, so call your local station and request it.

Her new cd will include all her hits. boy ive been told, love is on her mind, thinking of you, dont break my heart, some things never change, etc.... all songs have been remade in different styles, from house, to pop, to freestyle, salsa, etc.....

This song kicks ass. It deserves significant airplay by every top 40/rhythmic station in the country, but unfortunately, that won't happen. But at least KTU is playin' it during Judy Torres' show.

I heard "Can You Stand The Rain" for the first time the other night, after hearing some differing opinions, so I really didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised...The song sounds really good, although it didn't blow me away or anything...It definately has an extremely radio-friendly vibe and I hope that KTU adds it (although knowing KTU.....). I give it the official thumbs up.
