Hey. I was told about this track a few months ago, and as of yet I've had absolutely no luck finding it. I was told it's a pretty rare song to come across, and thats certainly been the case. There's pretty much no information about it on the internet. I'm really hoping someone might be able to help me out on this one. Thanks.

go to boomp3.com.you can download it there or i can send it to you, if you want.

Wow, Anne Williams. To the best of my knowledge, she was the girl going around as debbie deb in the later 80's. Never knew she did things as herself. If it's the same Anne Williams. hmmmmm?😕

I was told Debbie Deb's real name is Anne Williams but if thats untrue then im sorry.

The original Debbie Deb, co-writer and singer of "When I Hear Music", and "Lookout Weekend" is named Deborah. From what I've been told, they decided to pull a Milli Vanilli on the public and substituted Anne due to image concerns. Anne is the vocal on "Searchin" and "Fantasy", and the differnece in voice can clearly be heard. 😱 More details on the "swap" can be found here:

The real Deb still tours on a regular basis, and her info can be found here:

Ya I remember reading somewhere Pretty Tony wanted her to lose weight but of course for someone so young thats hard and then fired her and hired a skinny woman to sing. But im sorta glad they got someone who can really sing and not get someone who can lipsync.

Whatcha smokin brother? In my opinion, the vocal on When I hear music and Lookout Weekend is far superior to the replacement, hence them being Dance Music Anthem's to this day and the others just a side note in Freestyle History. As far as live goes, I've seen her a couple times on West Coast, in big venue and small, and no lip syncing going on. She was very interactive with Audience, and broke out acapella a number of times during the gig. Your probably mistaking "singing over track" as lip syncing. 80% of all the Freestyle artists I've seen in concert are doing some "over track" work. Lip Syncing is when they turn off the mikes, remember?

Well look at what happened with Milli Vanilli. They got some guys who cant sing to "lip sync" the song. Sooooooooooooooooooooooo now with this whole FAKE Debbie Deb thing "I'm glad they got someone that CAN sing" instead of getting someone to lip sync the song.

Get it now?

No, actually I'm not following you. She DID sing and write "music" and "weekends", and "party going on", and "I wanna dance", etc, and those are all amazing, old skool dance music classics under PANDISC records in MIAMI, and they still get much play around the world, and have been covered by many famous artists. Dude, she created amazing music with Pretty Tony at the age of 17, and unfortunately like many got a raw deal. So, perhaps you should get your facts straight before you pretend you know anything about this genre. If you just like picking on artists, more power to you, there's lots better ways to channel your energy then just putting people down. Perhaps since you are just ooozing with talent yourself, try making something out of it. I'm done with the juvenile flame war. Peace. 😀OSG...

Funny you still dont get it but nevermind im not going to sit here and educate you on what i was trying to say. I'm a fan of Debbie Deb and hate how she got screwed over. But as i said i was meaning something completely different then what you were trying to imply.

Oh, By the way, thanks for clarifying that. I'm a big fan too of her music and hate that she got a raw deal. Thanks. OSG
