Ok, this is a question for people that wear contacts.. whether they are prescription or not.

Do they bother you after a couple of hours wearing them... especially after wearing them a few times that week?

I just got my contacts (prescription / clear) again and after the first two days they really start to bother me. I was ok the first day or so, now, I wear them for about an hour or so and that's it.

Another question....

Does anyone know anyone that has had laser surgery? I don't think I can do it because something about someone messing with my eyes just freaks me out, but I would like to know some success stories if you know of any ... (or horror ones as well).
 
I bought clear prescriptive ones...and i couldn't get them in, they were really uncomfortable and would feel like they were gonna fall out so I just wear my glasses or try to see without them
 
i wear contacts 6 days out of the 7 a week. sometimes i wear them all week. of course i take them out at nite.

i dont put them on until a couple of hours after i wake up, cuz if not they bother me. try buyin rewetting drops. maybe ur eye is gettin dry ... ?
 
Listen to Diamond girl! Try the rewetting drops. Cuz when I first got mine I had that problem. Or have your doctor check your eyes when they are starting to irritate you. They may not have fit you properly for them. I've seen that happen before.

As for me...I wear mine 24/7 until they start irritating me then I know it's time to change them! :lol I have the 2 week disposable lens. Prescription. Cuz without them I'm blind as a :bat
 
lol Krystal....i'm blind as a bat too!! anyway, i have monthly disposables. i wear them everyday for approx. 13 hours. i take them out at night. i can wear them all day w/ no problem. rewetting drops are helpful if your eyes are dry. sometimes when i'm tired my eyes will burn, but i never had them bother me the way you describe, Gina.
i know 1 person who had the laser surgery and has nothing but good things to say. as for me, i would love to have it done, but its so new and no one knows the effects of it, say, 20 years from now. i'm too paranoid to get it done.

I could never wear contacts......I can't think about putting stuff in my eyes. :lol

I would just wear glasses.
 
yup gina my contacts do get dry after a few hours, its VERY frustrating esp. when im out at night and whenever i see streetlights there seems to be a halo around every one of them cuz the contacts get blurry & dry. so as ppl say try those drops, they should help - i use them when im at work cuz the vents there blow lots of air around to dry my eyes up!
 
i wear contacts. sometimes they irritate me like if one's flipped inside out or i get eye makeup or an eyelash get in my eye, oh and when i get tired they start irritating me

How long have you been wearing contact lens?

i would seriously look into laser eye surgery. Just make sure you do some research on some good doctors.
 
I will invest in the rewetting drops... thanks 😉 I believe I have them, but since I haven't been wearing contacts for a couple of months... not sure I know where I put them.

Enigma, I've been wearing contacts for years, but since they ALWAYS seem to bother me, I don't wear them much.

I was thinking... could it be the clear eyes irritating my contacts in my eyes? DON'T ALL YELL AT ME AT ONCE!!! lol

My eyes start to turn pink and I HATE THAT LOOK so I use clear eyes or visine.. but neither of them say for contact wearers.

These are the new onces that came out too... the hydraclear.

Michelle, I'm paranoid too.... I would love to have the laser surgery, but I'm scared sh*tless!!!

I'm really a poor example for contact wearers..I have the Extended wear lenses where u keep them in for a period of 3 months, throw them out and put in a fresh pair.. U R supposed to clean them at least 1 week.. Well I go MONTHS w/ them in w/out EVER taking them out. I take them out when I just can't even open my eyes w/out them sticking to my lids! LMAO!! I know.. i know.. horrible! lol.. but I've been wearing lenses for over 20 ys and LOVE them! I'd kill to have surgery tho..

Actually this procedure has been done for over 15 yrs now. I have 2 friends that had it done and they said it was the BEST thing they've ever done for themselves.. I haven't' done it cuz I just don't have that kinda cash laying around.
But if my insurance carrier would pay for it, I'd be lining up to have it done..

Try the rewetting drops first and then you'll know if its the clear eyes that's enabling the irritation to your eyes.

If not then consult your eye doctor. 🙂

Oh hell yeah, if the insurance covered it... I just might muster up the courage to do it.

As for your other post Rican.... girl, my gf was the same way. She NEVER took her contacts out. (she did get a bad infection in her eyes though after years and years of doing that... so now she takes them out before bedtime.)

Krystal, I know... the most obvious answer... STOP USING THE CLEAR EYES AND SEE IF I STILL GET THE IRRITATION!! ha ha ha
