My Home page has been set to some weird search page and every time i go to Internet options and re set it, it dont work. I cant hit any sites i type in my web address bar and i cant hit anythinhg in my favorites. My internet connection is fine, but my settings are screwed..I think. Funny thing is , I can still Instant message through Yahoo and AOL. I just cant hit any sites.

Any One?? Please?
 
Start...Control Panel...Add/Remove Programs...

Look for a strange program in there or something that says ???? Searchbar and remove it. 🙂

If you're not sure what you're looking at, try to copy down the programs you don't recognize and PM them to me and I'll try to help from there.

....But if that doesn't work then don't use IE anymore (unless you really have to) and install FireFox instead. FireFox is another web browser. So far, i've had no problems with it. It's been pretty sweet to me lately.
 
That happened to us recently -but because we had downloaded a program that seemed to provoke the issue. U may want to check to see what program u recently downloaded that caused the issue..
 
Well thanx you guyz , all of you. The thing is in add / remove programs...I cant establish whats needed and wahts not if it isnt obviouse.

Also Ive already went in to INTERNET OPTIONS and re set the home page but it wont set. I deleated my cookies but and my files in Internet options.

TEMPARARY FILES MAY BE THE PROBLEM, But I cant find them....there hidden.

I bought some spy ware remover software and its supposed to clean up my shit, block pop ups, and speed me up. It worked for a day or so. It worked very well. But what ever i had , its back and i cant getrid of it.

Here is a useful tip for every PC user:

Click on "Start"
Go to "Programs"
Then "Accessories"
Then "System Tools"
Then click on "Disk Cleanup"
When prompted, click "OK"

This will clean up all the old unnecessary files on your C drive including your Temporary Internet Files. It helps free up disk space and keep your computer running smoothly.

What version of windows are you using ?
 
Thanx you guys , I'll keep trying. I have Windows Xp and Removed almost all pregrams last night in add remove programs. Then I re installed all programs that came with my computer.............no luck, so today i will do disc clean up and defrag and see what that doese

DAYUMMMMMMMMMM!! If you did all of that you should just backup your files and reformat. :lol
 
How do I do that? Just tell me what to do. I want to wipe my shit 100% clean if possible. theres nothing important that cant be replaced. I have all reinstallation disc..so Im ready to go. This shit is bugging me................If it wasnt for my job computer , id be going through some seriouse withdraws and detox rite about now.
 
If you have the system restore disc...you should be able to handle it with no problem.

Reformatting is kinda hard to explain (for me anyway) but do a search on the web and the experts tell how to do it step by step. Good luck! 🙂
