the media and the war..do they actually think before doing a broadcast?? I watched a segment tonight and i was like "dont they think the iraqis watch tv too?? they were showing our tatics such as brodcasting from loud speakers the sounds of tanks rolling to convince the enemy there was a massive task force coming there way..even though is was only a few tanks..followed by how us troops conduct searches in the urban sectors..now after they see this the enemy will be like "dont worry its just a bose system coming' just shoot the speakers out..or this is how we search now you know where to hide..i mean really..they have to be more responsible on what they broadcast..why are they even given such info?? whats next?? " "this just in american troops will be conducting a surprise attack on theses coordinates at dawn..right after these commericals..if youre an iraqi please change the channel so you wont know"!!! stay right where you are so we can kill you more easily!! "loose lips sink ships" was a saying during WWII ..today it may as well be "news flash kills fast" our ability of surprise as well as american troops..WTF??? one of the most powerful weapons of our armed forces through our short history has been "secrets" todays information highway is more for the entertainment value of those sitting safe at home.without a care as if the war was a soap opera another of all the cheesy "reality shows" at the same time endangering those who are on the front line risking thier lives. in this reality show people die for real..thats about as real as "reality tv gets" one politician summed it up when describing a joint chiefs of staff meeting tonight..he said "its ironic that we cant describe exactally what was said becuase alot of the lauguage used in the meeting behind the scenes..is not suited for family tv..but we can however show you images of people being killed in a war..how ironic indeed" on a final note.. no wonder we havent found osama bin laden yet..he probably just sits down puts on CNN and finds out wheres the next place we are going to be looking for him at and makes sure hes not there
