I love her song called "Cant You See It". It's on one of the Metropolitan cds. As far as I know, she never had a full length cd, which is a shame, because it would have been great! She is one of the true freestyle divas!

Chrissy-I-Ecee, in now preforming and recording, under a new name. Here is some information I found on her.

Tina Peña was born in Brooklyn New York and raised in the Bronx, dreaming of becoming a star in the music industry.Tina’s career started under the pseudonym, Chrissy I-Eece. Her achievements brought to life dance hits: "Love Desire" and "You Should Know By Now" (Produced by “Little” Louie Vega and written by Columbia Recording Artist, Marc Anthony) on Atlantic Records.

Tina’s unlimited talent would not let her stay in one facet of the music industry. She went on to record her first Salsa album with producer/arranger Luis "Perico" Ortiz titled

"Sangre Nueva Pa' La Calle" on RMM/Sony Latin. The single "Solo Seremos Amigos" featured a duet with the incredible Tony Vega. For Tina, this Latin album opened new doors. She later collaborated with Frankie Cutlass and Sergio George to give birth to the fusion of R&B/Pop and Latin music.

The new collaboration brought forth another Latin Hit called "Take Your Love and Go" (Written by Tina Peña and Sergio George) which features vocals of Salsa Legend; Hector Lavoe. Lavoe is featured singing his famous catch phrases that perpetuated his popularity in the Salsa world.

Tina Peña has toured around the world and has pleased thousands of her fans in: Japan, Spain, Tenerife (Canary Islands), Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. She has been featured in numerous Japanese, Latin and American TV Shows, Radio Programs and trade magazines as well.

After taking a hiatus from the world of music to focus in plays, acting school and the production of her variety/music television show, Tina has resurfaced in the studio with today’s hottest production/remix teams.

"My focus is to keep it real and to work with the people that work as hard as I do. I consider myself a natural woman who keeps her heels on the ground and her head on her shoulders, where it should be" says Tina Peña.

Great job on that research, Tank.

Last I heard, through a valuable source, was that she found God and became a born-again Christian. She was either done with the recording industry, or she was taking a break.

It's good to hear that she's back though. I resepect her work, and I respect her as an artist. It's funny, I totally thought she had it in her to become huge, having done Freestyle, Latin, House, and R&B. I kinda put her up on pedestal for so many years, and all that was paid off when I saw her perform here in Boston a few years back.

I hope she does something, such as record a full length album or a single. The Freestyle industry can definitely benefit from the return of a true Diva.

i wish she did
