People, whats up!!

hey, just wanted all of you guys out there know, that as of last night, i just confirmed that D'luna the china doll will be also performing at the party 93.1 show next friday night september 6 at level on south beach for the Party 93.1 end of summer bash.

As you guys know club level is the actual original club 1235, known to be the main freestyle club during the golden age of freestyle in Miami. lots of ny and miami artist sealed their fate on that stage.

Its been a long time since a miami breaks/freestyle artist, backed up by two other legends (lewis martinee of expose and jellybean), has graced that stage.

We are one of the few left in miami that has rocked both the breaks and freestyle markets in many areas around Europe and the U.s. and still identify ouselves as latin hiphopers, despite evolution and the diferent names this industry calls the sound as it evolves through the years. We have been on the scene since day one and continue to cary the flag for miami freestyle heads. It never did die, just evolved and now its up for us to throw it down for the new generation.

other artist that will be performing are Dee Dee "Forever", Diana fox "running on Empty" and DJ samy "heaven".

To be honest, the comercials already have started and there was no time to add us to those spots. but we will be performing.
we will also be performing the next day for the new times in miami and that party is in ft.louderdale.

D'luna/china doll will perform "ill know how to love you" and give a peak at the new reales "come with me".

people out there think this industry is so easy, espeacially when your backed up with big names. and the truth is that its not. especailly when you embrace the "freestyle flag". to tell you the truth, when people wrap themselves with the freestyle scene, it sometimes makes things harder and it gets tougher to open doors. which is what happened to us also. And has made it tough to actually break miami. people in the industry want trance and house. last thing they want is a second geneartion freestyle/breaks chic from Miami lakes Hieleah to rock the airwaves. cuz they think its not trendy. For this reason alone, many in the freestyle industry who have new projects, distance themselves from the "F" word or community.
those who already have established names and are old school artist, always have the stations who suport old skool to fall back on. but thats it. its easier for them to stay with the paths that they know.

For us, we want to go where freestyle artist havent gone yet.and if that means doing some house, trance and etc and even experiment etc to help open those doors of whats happening now, well thats what we have to do. but we will always be second generation latinhiphopers that hold strong to our roots and our past. But we will always also be at the front lines, cuz trance and house arent gong to be the only ones getting the spotlight,we wont let them. our freestyle history goes back just as long as theirs.
we will always wrap ourelves around freestyle and continue to cary that flag. AINT NO SHAME!

Trance and breaks today is what Hi nrg and freetsyle was in the 80's. same thing. diferent name, diferent generation.

like the hi-nrg artist of the past, the trance artist performing on the 6 of sept at level are hailing from or representing a sound hailing from Europe.

like the freestyle artist of the past, the break artist (china doll) performing the 6 of sept at level (1235) is a second generation latina hailing from miami's own miami lakes, hieleah reprezenting a sound that originally roots back to the days of ricks bar, club 1235, manhattans, even the roseland and the roxy of the early 80's.

and this will be a slap in many peoples faces..(especially those expecting to see 3 cute lil chinese girls. they will get One viscios hag on a rampage. with a mic in one hand and her broken freestyle heart in the other).

I guesse what im trying to ask is, i want all people, if you love freestyle , no matter what style, shape, form or size it comes in. im asking for you guys to show up and show love and support. this is the chic that lewis martinee and jellybean benitez our backing. and if it wasnt for them, both miami and new york wouldnt have a freestyle golden age. they were prodominantly the 2 keys that put those 2 cities on the map. As producers, they produced and cultivated MANY MANY MANY freestyle artist, when others only focused on one group.

that was then, this is now.

Now its china dolls turn. this is the project that brought them together and is also the project bringing them back to their electro freestyle roots.

this is a big thing and i hope those of you in miami and ft louderdale come and show love.

Also.. call party toll free at 1 888 931-0931
also at 305-567-5729 and 954-627-9729
and show your love for us. request to hear the china doll song "ill know how to love you(im blowing up)" and also request more freestyle and breaks artist. It doesnt matter where you are calling from, as many people across the nation listen through internet and still call in to request.

we have done and will continue to do the same for you guys.

and for all of those out there who know me, although its been a while since i talked to you guys, for all you artist, producers, promoters who have kids or have your other 2 or 3 jobs and try to make ends meet. for all of you who always go out and try to find those perfect beats and the perfect party. and for all you who have sacraficed and you still here with the freestyle thing because you love it.

for all you singers who havnet given up on being a freestyle artist and you strugle and you still there working at the office and putting up with all the obsticles life has, let alone all the bull this industry puts on you. DONT GIVE UP!! The day will come.

but for all of you......out there reading this and your on your computer on this site cuz it brings you closer to a communty and you get also that sence of belonging and that brother/sisterhood that we have that is called freestyle. this fratenity.

I know what you guys go through
and why i have respect and love for you all.

anyway thank you.

p.s. jack, we will mention the site.
